It's not bad and completely playable F2P until the endgame, then you're fucked unless you sub.

I was subbed last time I played, I only wanna play to play the expansion that has the big bad elluded to in Kotor II, is it shitty bad?

No, it's actually pretty fun. Not being able to get new gear as preferred sucks though, since you'll be receiving crates that you can't turn in and constantly be reminded that you are a F2P scrub.

If you can roll good shit off the new packs you can sell that shit, I made 4 million credits the other day for selling a shitty beast companion grant I had zero use for.

If you don't want to subscribe again, you could always use the cartel coins on gameplay stuff like the rocket boots or appearance options. Of course though it will be a waste of money if you do resub again, because you get that shit with the sub.

Unbelievable that I can't purchase unlimited credit capacity with cartel coins. That would actually save the fucking game by bringing in way more players. Lots of my friends quit because of not being able to keep up as F2P after being a sub for years.

it's fine if you only play the main Class stories up until level 50, it begins falling rapidly apart afterwards, but it's fine until then.

The Sith side is vastly more entertaining than the Jedi, though.

I have done that before with Imperial Agent, I know it's widely accepted as the best story/class but is anything else good?

I was kinda thinking Bounty Hunter but kinda wanted a schweet lightsaber

BH was my first character and I remember it being bland as fuck.

Sith Warrior felt interesting, same with Jedi Consular to an extent, especially if darkside.

Bounty Hunter is sorta good, and the Consular and Trooper are liked by some and hated by others.

Both Sith class stories are pretty good, though most consider Warrior best to play as Light Side if you're only going to go through it once.

there's only one good class story, and the gameplay is utterly awful. SWTOR is in no way worth your time.

If you were interested in the combat and/or story of KOTOR then yes, downloading and playing TOR is a massive mistake.

Not only will it not satisfy you in either respect, the game goes out of its way to spit on Revan, The Exile, and the entirety of KOTOR.

But if you want to kill a horrible butchering of the character of Revan and get le epic loot drop "Revan's pants" (that is a real thing in the game), be my guest.

Jedi Knight is basically Kotor 3.

I honestly tried to play it just for the story, but since it's an mmo the gameplay is unbearably shitty

The game is actively unfun. You can get the same basic experience watching the cutscenes on Youtube.

Judging by the recent threads in the last month on Sup Forums there have been a huge spike in how many Kotor 1 then Kotor 2 threads that have been posted, I think this is in direct correlation with a the LP of Kotor on the "Super Best Friends" Youtube channel. Considering this is 1 of 2 Old Republic threads currently up I would put money on their fan base playing that for until at least the end of this weekend. Take that information as you will
