WTF

Is this fvcking REAL?!

>fvcking
...yeah you know what. Its real.

No.

Yes

Shit font. Nintendo doesn’t slap Japanese on their game titles so casually like that. I’d love to believe in a game like this though. Especially if Maniac Agenda worked with classic F-Zero music.
>3D sections play like a mix of vanquish shooting and platinum combat
>2D sections like viewtiful joe
>Space Harrier/AfterBurner shit in the Great Falcon
>Mach Rider sections
>Optional F-Zero Grabd Price mini game
Aww yeah I love Platinum baybee

>Muh Falcon Hand
Gross

>Platinum games
It'd literally be sonic unleashed. Either the racing or combat would be more interesting, if it's truly sonic unleashed GX then players would complain about the combat segments and ask for a game that's the same but without them.
With Platinums record it'll more likely be the other way around and be a great beat-em-up and a mediocre racer.
F-zero is a racing game. Just because a small minority of a small fanbase wants a racer/combat hybrid doesn't mean they should put racing on the back burner.

cs surf maps are a good hybrid

not that it'd translate

I think the amount of combat in the series is fine. if you get knocked out of a single race you are still fucked, making it high risk

Or it could just not be a racing game and just be a side game.

That would just be rubbing salt in the wounds of the people that actually want a new f-zero game.
Not like Nintendo isn't against doing that.

>Nintendo doesn’t slap Japanese on their game titles so casually like that.

Shut the fuck up.

Yea but the thing is I would actually buy a Captain Falcon side game, I'm not ever touching federation force. But it's not like there is any chance of getting a real f-zero game anyways

I admit if it was a pure combat spin-off, I'd buy and enjoy it. It'd probably be a solid 8-10/10 game too with Plat's track record.
All I'm saying is it's not what I have in mind when I say "Revive F-zero" and I'm pretty sure most of the fanbase would agree. I love F-zero because it's a racing game, not because of the smash bros memes. This is our Monkey Paw irony if this is the real deal.

>ocarina of time (japan)
at least post starfox zero

Whatever check these dubs

I just want to know more about Captain Falcon as a bounty hunter and I think a side game like this would be able to do that better than a racing game would. but I agree its not what most f-zero fans would prefer

it's funny, FF is actually decent spinoff if you need something else to play
unless SD Gundam: Metroid Prime Edition still triggers you that much, NLG even offered Nintendo to port the game to better hardware (the Switch) so people can comfortably play it

the main reason I'm not going to play FF is because I'm not a huge metroid fan to begin with

If it wasn't for that Nintendo logo I might believe it.

I just am not interested in FF.
All I know is the game received a horrible rep because it's not a real Metroid game so I used it as an example is all. I don't know it's score or what the public thinks of it now.

understood.

the game was a new Metroid Prime idea Tanabe wanted to do on the DSi after but saved it for later.
FF score is bellow 70 and the public still grudges over it while a few are giving it a go since MP4 and SR was announced

I would've dug federation force if it wasn't chibi/SD style. I normally love SD Gundam stuff but this just wasn't the right situation for it.

A gritty 4-player story with you playing as feddie grunts in a harsh environment could've been fantastic, honestly. A little more serious, a little scarier, a little more exploratory.

Platinummemers are the scum of the earth, and saying “X should be made by Platinum” is a good enough thesis statement of why a series should remain dead.
Either you like the fun racing gameplay of F-Zero & the interesting racetracks, or you’re a shitbrick brainlet who can’t enjoy anything other than cinematic QTE gameplay & pretty special effects that spray all over the screen like a big autistic fireworks show. Platinum was contracted to make the newest Star Fox game last gen, and it totally sucked balls.

Actually, I really enjoyed F-Zero GX for what it is, but I also really enjoyed the world presented in the cutscenes between races in the story mode. So I wouldn't mind a beat 'em up in that sense as long as they either straight DON'T do a racing thing or make the racing fleshed out enough to feel like it's worth the effort.

Feel free to call me a platinum-memer, though.

HAPPENING

>Buzzwords the post

why do you think this man wants to work with Platinum Games again after how badly received Star Fox Zero gotten?

The reason star fox zero was bad was because of the motion control 2nd screen stuff. I highly doubt that this stuff was platinums idea

this
also IIRC Platinum added a crazy scoring system in the game, the type that you need to be into their kind of games to even find out, where they judge you for doing all sorts of things

Ideally the series could get revived with two-game approach. One for advancing the racing formula the series is known for, and one where you could actually play as Captain Falcon (and possibly others) in a beat em up action game. Though this is being REALLY hopeful.

I’ll give you this much, the world in F-Zero seems to have a lot of potential to it, but even then, that shouldn’t be an excuse to turn the game into a beat-em-up when it has no excuse being one, especially a Platinum beat-em-up. Just make hub worlds out of the cities & planets or something to buy new gear, build your ship, construct a racetrack, or shoot the shit with racers, I think having a custom racer could be a nifty feature for the player & could help worldbuild the series a bit.

Just because its Platinum dosnt mean it has to be like bayonetta crazy combat, I would probably prefer something closer to yakuza combat but a little bit more wild
