Is Sup Forums ready to admit that this is the best Zelda game of all time? Or are we still holding on to nostalgic memories and ignoring all of the flaws of our precious childhood Zelda games?

BotW is an 8/10 game, ALttP, OoT, MM, and Link's Awakening are all better. Arguably Wind Waker as well.

Botw is basically metal gear solid 5 and Final fantasy 15 with a great open world but with very little story. Great game but definitely has its flaws.

Zelda BOTW is the best open world game ever, which therefore makes it the best video game ever made.

Except for Mario Odyssey, which is the actual best game ever made, but it doesn't matter because they're both Switch exclusives.

Even for an over world game, it wasn't flawless or flawed to the point of being endearing, just empty in certain designs of the map.

Arguably other Zelda games nail their worlds perfectly via comparison.

Good game, with some flaws.
Bosses are repetitive. Could've used some more world bosses, as well.
The Desert is boring, and the surrounding mountains are to sparse in terms of fun things to do.
Rito area is half-baked.
Final boss is underwhelming.
That said, solid 9/10 from me. All issues are easily fixable with a sequel, and Nintendo has proven that they're actually listening to fan complaints; the fact that BOTW even exists is proof of that.

I HATED the setting at first, the lack of music when adventuring, the open world desolation, etc.

But I think it complements the story pretty well. The world is totally fucked by ganon for 100 years, so shit sucks and all you can do is return to the wild, with just the shirt on your back, and rebuild from there.

Don't forget to turn on the framerate fix. I have a mid tier rig, and after about 30 minutes of youtubing I got it running just fine. And I'm even using the CEMU release from back in August.

Only issues I ever have are the damn motion control shrines. Good thing there's only 3 I think in the whole game.

It runs well but there might be a few visual problems. I also crashed after playing for too long. Some temples also require motion control. Cemu allows you to use your mouse to simulate motion control but it doesn't cover all angles so use a something like a ps4 controller instead.

You can also take the switch literally anywhere and play it...

BotW might just be one of the best games I've ever played. This massive fully realised world of Hyrule to explore is something I've always wanted. It's a joy to play.

Is it better than ALTTP, LA or OoT? I dunno. All those games have unique qualities that BotW doesn't. I love all of those games and the order of favouritism depends on what day of the week it is.

Nintendo will NEVER be able to make just one definitive Zelda game which satisfys everybody. It's impossible. The series is too vast and people love it for different reasons. Every Zelda is someone's favourite Zelda.

All Nintendo can do is to try and make a good game and fir each Zelda to be a unique experience.
