>found out character dies later in story
>couldn't get attached to them
>didn't think I'd care for Aeris
>turns out I did
>ends up being my most used party member
>mfw anticipating her death before disc 2
>couldnt remember stupid ff names, thought tifa was the one who was going to die
:)
>already knew Aeris dies on first playthrough
>Try not to get attached to her
>Get attached to her anyway and tear up when it happens
>don't care for her because Cloud picked her over titty monster waifu Tifa
heh
>play FFVII for first time
>don't care about her death at all
>replay game and make her my dedicated mage
>feel sad as fuck when she dies
That gameplay attachment really makes a difference.
>I'm superficial and judge women based on the development of their breasts
>Obv I pick Tifa
Get smoked, aeris is a flatty
Why would anyone ever get attached to a low poly shite anyways
>Preferred tifa more anyway
fuck I wonder if Aeris dies still exists
Huge KHfag here. Never played FFVII although in Kingdom Hearts 1 Aeris is my waifu. Is her character any good in FFVII? Also, is Final Fantasy 7 just a meme game that's aged horribly or would I enjoy it? Thinking about selling my gamecube and gba for a ps1 and a fuckload of jrpg shit for ps1
>is her character any good
it literally doesn't matter. she's dead.
It matters, because if she is an important character to the story whether she's written well or horribly will effect my enjoyment of the game
FF VII doesn't have significant character development. She's not annoying if that's what you mean
>FF VII doesn't have significant character development
t. I haven't played FFVII uguu-chan
what are some games where having the twist spoiled ruins the whole game
The Sixth Sense
barring cloud seph and nanaki
Tifa: I've known cloud his whole life but I just ignore everything that happened at Nibelheim!
Barret: I'm black and angry!
Aeris:I'm an orphan and I love flowe-*dead*
Yuffie: MATERIA NINJA RAWR XD x3
Cait:I'm... a robot... but I have.. feelings?? Also I'm gonna betray Shinra because you guys are the main characters
Cid:#^@^ TEA AND #^#^# ROCKETS WOMAN %#^%
Vincent:I literally exist to cater to edgelords!
Persona 4 and 5. Fuck you Sup Forums.
I wasn't attached either.
Having played many games with you and your allies being "too badass for death", seeing Aeris death was shocking.
And you sit there with the controller in hands wondering why it had to happen, and it really doesn't help when this starts playing youtube.com
There's a reason why Final Fantasy 7 is held in high regard, even 20 years after release.
aerisdies.com
you just needed to type it in
Just post a picture of Ned Flanders next time
>Collects the white materia in the city of ancients and used it to speak to the planet unlocking the true ending where Aeris comes back from the lifestream just before the final battle.
>solid memes
t. I played the game but just skimmed through most of the cutscenes de geso-chan
>tfw it felt more shocking to me when Chrono Trigger did it
I dunno why I felt that the music in FF7 had to be shoehorned in order to have an impact in the player
someone redpill me why red13 was any important to the plot? he's more throwaway than vincent who is a secret character
>first play through shortly after release
>got some free strategy guide but never looked at it
>set up team as mainly cloud + tifa with aerith as healer
>she dies
I was kinda pissed
He isn't important to the plot's events but he kinda gives a unique perspective on the setting because he isn't a human. Other than that his only plot importance happens when you first meet him and when you get to his hometown.
>didn't know that 21 years ago
>didn't particularly like her, Tifa was better anyway
Eh.
It actually upset me way more when Mileena apparently died in Grandia 2.
same here
haha brainlet
