This game is fucking bullshit.
>LOLOL AOE MAGIC SPAM THAT KILLS YOUR WHOLE PARTY IN TWO CASTS
>LOLOL WE ARE FASTER THAN YOU EVEN ON HASTE
GET GOOD YOU MOTHER FUCKING FUCK!!!!!!!
Incoming shitstorm, considering how easy FF5 is.
I mean jesus, the only way to make the game hard at ALL is to either choose shitty classes and stick to them or fiesta into a bunch of shitty classes, how are you having difficulty playing normally?
Wasn't those the things you need to re-reflect spells to? I might be thinking about FF3/6.
...
This is bait right?
Fuck you user, I came here to post that.
Thanks to all of your "le git gud x-DD" comments I have able to kill these assholes. By using Slow2, Haste2, and Buildup on my monks.
This thread can now end, congrats Sup Forums you did well today.
How to break this game?
Mystic Knight, Bard, Ninja, Chemist, Blue Mage
Any of those are more than capable of killing everything.
Spellblade/Dual Wield/Rapid Fire :^)))))))
hehehe
Butz
Those graphics are awful is that the GBA version?
Get good actually means something, it's not just empty words. Adapt you stupid fuck. That's part of the fun.
Looks like the PS1 port to me.
Throw your gil at everything.
This is THE way to break the game
If I'm not mistaken, that's a fan translated SNES version...?
That's the next FF game on my list so I hope the PS1 one doesn't look that bad, I and II look great
Blue mage
Zeninage
Spellblade/dual wield/rapid fire/two handed, any order
Ribbon/dualcast/summoner once you have Phoenix
Two handed Gaia axe berserk
Chemist
Whatever you do, do not not play the PS1 ports of any Final Fantasy games other than 1 and 2.
First time playing beat that boss 1st try get good and pick better jobs
What's wrong with them? I'm finishing II right now, I was gonna go on to V, I wanted to pick up IV for my SNES though.
The PS1 ports of 4, 5 and 6, (and Chrono Trigger) are all mostly ass.
You'll have to deal with:
>Slowdown
>Load times
>Bugs and glitches out the ass
>FF5's wonky PS1 translation
go back to final fantasy xv or xiii little bitch.
Really? I wanted to play V on PS1 since it's the original console it released on in the west, I wanted to get that original feeling of playing for the first time you know? If it's that bad though what would you recommend as an alternative? SNES with English patch?
SNES version with whatever the newest translation is called (Legend of the Crystals I think) works fine, and will feel more classic I guess.
The GBA version also works just fine, but I don't like it as much because of the slightly changed graphics, and the music is low quality, though I think there are fixes for the audio.
I don't really like GBA ports of SNES games but thanks
Generally the best way to play 5 are translated SNES or GBA with sound patch.
Which one is mostly up to preference. The snes translation is a little more serious in tone while the gba one is a little more lighthearted. I preferred the gba one
I've only seen FF5 but it has horrible load times before and after every battle. The translation is also terrible.
X-fight and Dualcast on a full party of Mimics
>it's not just empty words
The only times I had problems in FF5 were against the Dragon enemies in Trapped Chests. There Atomic Ray hit everyone for like 75% health and the next turn I would heal up a decent chunk only to get Atomic Ray cast again.
Then there was that Gate enemy boss that used Wave Cannon or some shit that hit everyone hard, gave Old Status which wrecked your stats and then had a "Bio" effect where your health would decrease rapidly every second that passed.
>The snes translation is a little more serious in tone while the gba one is a little more lighthearted. I preferred the gba on
This just means that one of them or both are wrong doesn't it?
The SNES fan translations sometimes say bad words like damn
The GBA version usually avoids such foul language, and sometimes there are memes
FFV fag here
...
I found the fan translation to be really, really dry. The GBA one might not be as accurate, but it's certainly more in line with the game's actual tone.
