No, a couple folks like hbomberguy (I'm going to hell for mentioning him, but I'm stating facts,) the Completionist and gillythekid have come out and gushed over the game and acknowledging they were in the minority and gave no fucks. Caddy also said good things of it too, giving it an 8/10.

Personally the game is a 6/10 to me. It’s just extremely mediocre. It’s not horrid like some people make it out to be, it’s just a very plain and average game with no exciting hooks. And I played it after all the patches too.

I enjoy the game for what it is and finished it, but I can’t be arsed to get 100% completion for it. Whereas I completed the old Banjo games 100% on multiple occasions.
