Skyrim, no doubt. You can whatever opinions you wan't with the game, but the soundtrack is objectively amazing.
The Max Payne series
both of these are pretty watered down and weak versions of the prior games' soundtracks
yeah
Op, I can see where you are coming from with bloodborne, but for some reason i love it even more for being less completely over the top while still being as foreboding and menacing as it needs to be.
Bloodborne doesn't sound anything like DS. Are you retarded?
I can't remember anything except the main theme.
The fact that they made a fictional languge just for the soundtrack was fucking cool
Yes he is
Just ignore him user. He’s special

You're just being fooled because it's an orchestra. If you had any musical knowledge, you'd see through it and understand how safe and unpersonnal BB's soundtrack is. Most bosses can swap their tracks without it feeling odd. The only special tracks are the end boss one, the dlc ones, Ebrietas, Rom and Micolash (but the second half shit the bed).
but was hail the nightmare any good in your opinion? that was the only one i liked
WE WUZ ON A DIFFERENT PLANET
I forgot this one, but yes anything that tries to get away from the generic horror movie vibe is pretty good in BB.
Unfortunately half~two thirds of the tracks were composed without any real idea of what the player would fight against. It's quite obvious as most tracks don't tell you anything and rely heavily on ominous strings.
Yuka Kitamura is the real brain in From Software compositions and you can literally know when she's in charge and when she's not. Ebrietas' theme was her work.
But to the western guy's credits, Gehrman's music is good, but it doesn't really fit the game., I think Hypogean Gaole's music (Hail the Nightmare) was also his work. He knew it was for a place and not for a fight so it stands out.
Different user. Do you think hail the nightmare stands out in a good way? Hail the nightmare is the most memorable track for me. When I first got hit by the sack guys and ended up in hypogean gaol and I heard that track, I put my controller down and just listened.
It works well because there's no other places with similar background music going on. I'm pretty sure that if the game had had more background music the guy wouldn't have managed to make very different tracks. But as a lone track it fits perfectly well the "what's going on in this damn place" feeling going on while you're stuck exploring the cultists area.
These
Skyrim OST is honestly a fucking beast and anyone who dares to insult it just goes to my "don't listen to this fucking pleb" list. I can understand puting Morrowind or Oblivion above Skyrim for a million reasons, but the OST is not.
Is funny how people only make jokes about that song and only that song. Does that mean that is the only bad song in the whole ost?
fallout 1 and 2
its the main battle theme, go figure.

This game was more gooder than I expectered... Also, I had Bill Murray for the Great Sage, which rocked when I heard his nonchalant voice in my head for all his lines.
SMT IV
Ace Combat Series.
Anything Capcom / Namco / SEGA touch honestly.
Would've liked a few more tracks.
That would certainly have been nice
