>game wants you to join a clan without any context or to just sit on your ass for days to see if anything happens while you backtrack on the same 5 hubs over and over again
Are the previous WotS games shit like this? 4 was so much better than this

damn, this place is fucking dead. you gotta make some bait thread about some retarded shit for people to even reply
Free bump OP
>Join clans without much context, or sit on your ass and hope to run into shit at the right time and place
>Have to replay a ton of times or use a guide to find the proper sequence of you doing all of the necessary, specific, often nonsensical tasks for everyone that somehow endears everyone to you even though you barely engage with any of them due to how spread out you are if you want the best endings.
That would be both 1 and 3.
2 and 4 are much better in that regard.
3 is garbage and the worst in the series. 1 is great, 2 was the pinnacle of the series. 4 is also really good but the tone makes it feel more like a comedy/parody most of the time rather than a samurai RPG.
I'm sorry you made the mistake of playing 3 first, OP.
Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin is better anyway
Are the stories interconnected,or can I just play whichever I want?
All games are separate. All are worth playing though.
Dunno about 3
3 has a shit early game, an ok mid game, and has some good to meh endings.
2 and 4 are the series at it's best.
>Bushido blade combat
>No grinding for better swords, no enemies with bloated HP values
>Larger town and countryside with no loading screens
Why isn't someone making a game like this?
I would settle for just another Bushido Blade game, forget all that other shit.
>2018
>japs making a game that takes skill and no grinding
Lmao
I can only chip in as having played 4, but the very small hub with the loading screens seems to have carried over, at least.
>tfw built a two-handed endgame sword with a tiny nub of a hilt and the result annoyed me so much I pretty much dropped the game
I should get back to that.
>game wants you to join a clan without any context
The context is ebil bandits, noble guys who have to make some hard decisions, and peasants who want to stop being oppressed just like every other WotS.
and then you join the bandits first thing because Itsuse a cute
Literally (figuratively) every fighting game
I mean, it's pretty early in America, it's the middle of the week, most people have school/work... To be fair most people who are posting right now are eurofags and neetfags, and sadly both of these group are all very mentally deranged.
Cute!
>combo memorizing
>skill
does she puts out?
Spoken like a true scrub.
Being able to consistently pull off hard combos without dropping them takes skill, yes.
Fightans are about more than that however.
>Every scrub thinking the combos are the most important part in a fighting game
>combo memorizing
>skill
>rts mico
>skill
>recoil control
>skill
>racetrack memorizing
>skill
>memorizing chess openings
>skill
>basic fighter maneuvers
>skill
This is really important, pls respond
Oy fighting faggots, fuck off, this is a WotS thread
All three of the girls have their own endings but none of them put out in the game proper.
There is no "jump into their bed and hope they don't kick you out" yobai romancing like in 4.
3 is the best one, 4 is a meme. The series died for that shit.
why im even playing this then
Yeah, WotS is basically a CYOA where you replay onto different paths again and again and improve your favorite sword styles.
If you don't have a taste for chambara flicks, you're probably gonna stay a pleb forever.
Surprised to see all of the hate here- 4 felt really on rails to me. I think it had to do with how time only advances every time you do a time advancing thing.
I liked the free-flowing time aspect of 3, gave things more weight and it felt more like Majora's Mask when it came to playing multiple times and learning the patterns.
You should really play WotS in order. They put in old swords and costumes from previous installments. You can pick sword styles you like early and just stick with them.
I still use Kyojiro's sword because I am a shitter who loves the super easy command grab where you stir up your opponent's guts.
Not to mention that design wise, is the perfect blending of WOTS 1 and WOTS 2. 3 Is the first one where they tell you are the events are happening, on 1 and 2 you just have to know in advance.
Were* the events are happening. Also better smithing system and a bunch of upgrades in general.
Are you fucking kidding me right now? 2 was easily the worst just because of all the unskippable cutscenes which made a game where you're supposed to replay numerous times to experience everything a huge slog to get through.
Normally it would be because you have good taste in video games, but in this case it seems you've mistaken WotS for Honey Select.
I LOVE LAURA LOLITA
Only one I played was the first, but did they ever let you create a female character or just let to use their model while everyone calls you a guy?
in 4 atleast they kind of acknowledge your gender in some places
The latter every time. Silly samurai, games aren't for girls!
>2 was the pinnacle of the series
>That fuckawful Parry system instead of push/pull
Best setting and characters I might give you but cmon.
>Ryu ga Gotoku
Just say yakuza you pretentious weeb
Yakuza is the English name, Ishin isn't in English and being a sengoku jidai game there aren't even any yakuza in it.
It's not localized and the story doesn't have anything to do with the yakuza.
That's fine I wanted to play an onna-bugeisha instead.
Good taste.
3 and 4 will let you do that, not sure about 2.
Its WotS or SW4E to scratch that itch
Ghosts of Tsushima seems to be that
