Because Luxons for life. Also music.

A sea being turned to glass and a forest being turned into stone is pretty unique in games i think

That being said, i haven't played much games

Shut up Cuckzick, go make your own thread about your shitty stone forest

stone forests are a thing, in so far as fossilised trees happen, the whole gothic architecture is more unique.

the Jade Sea is unique as far as I know, though you could argue it's like a frozen sea

the environment was really unique, I've never seen anything like it in any other game but it was still like believable and not something crazy

had great explorable areas

FORT ASPENWOOD

Yes. Keep fighting, you dogs. If you need me I'll be in the Emperor's throne room.

I miss this game so much bros ;_;

>GW1 - confident, well designed, good stuff
>shit game
>no jumping
>why can't I play an orc
>GW2 - you can jump, and play any of these recoloured races
>it's shit
fucking WOWfags ruins everything

why the fuck would you play an orc

>no jumping
>/jump

It's pretty great to know when factions came out and you were playing an assassin, you couldn't get into groups without spamming "I'm not a tank" and even then not many people wanted you, then all of a sudden you're at the last mission and the assassin has the best skill to beat Shiro.

Guild Wars was filled with iconic, memorable, incredible vistas, always accompanied with fitting music. The artists working on it were gods among men. Then agendered beings cast down that pantheon, and released Guild Wars 2.

I still launch it once in a while, just to walk around the cities, listen to the music, and explore the sceneries. Such an incredible game, I doubt I'll see another like it before I die.

Ele had the best skill if you triple echoed it

Pretty much all the important people who worked on GW1 were also present when GW2 launched. They only started leaving the years after that.

How do you define "important"?

Because it seems to me like the "good" ones left.

All of Guild Wars is made of pure magic, it's easily the game with the most memorable areas I played, it had so many, and it was so huge.

Both gothic stone forest and rad jade sea were top design/ambiance.
I miss this game so much, probably the best of all. Even kaineg was very well rendered.

Well i'm on my phone now and can't be arsed to look up all the names, but i'm mainly talking about their bigger artists and story writers and stuff and people like the "swing a sword" guy.

My point is that all the people you adore so much are most likely the same people responsible for GW2

I kinda like Kaineng City more than Jade Sea

best loading screen comming thru

But art direction is pretty much the only thing in GW2 that went right. It's things like the extreme dumbing down of the combat/skill system that make GW2 a shitty game.

That shit was really cool

On a scale of 1 to FUCKED, how fucked Cantha will be when Nu Arenanet decide to re explore the setting?

Won't be able to sit or shit in two months due to severe anal destruction/fucked

don't let them do it
please
