So far all we know is that it is going to be on all platforms.
I don't really know how remasters usually work, so I'd like to ask people what to expect from this remaster?
Better graphics?
Finished previously unfinished areas?(lost iszalith)
Faster gameplay?
What do should I expect? I don't know if I should be excited for this or not.

PS Blog gave a run down. Graphics are improved but we don't know to what extent. No changes to existing areas. 60fps on consoles except Switch. And 4k+HDR support too.

Wishlist of changes that would make the game objectively better:
>8 direction rolling
>Gwyn no longer parryable
>grid layout inventory like DS2/3
>covenant connectivity improved

Should we expect them to improve some of the bosses or enemes? Should we expect new enemy placements or even new enemies?

To what extent are the changes? That looks like Dark Souls 3s engine, is the gameplay gonna be crazy fast spam roll like das3?

Apparently dedicated servers for multiplayer and an increased player cap to 6.

I'm not sure what to expect because we had SotFS, which had basically no graphical changes but a bunch of enemy placement tweaks and stuff like that.

I don't have problem with DS being on Switch, wonder how well it will work, especially when you look how some of Switch games work in portable mode.

I do wonder if DS would work well on Vita. Switch from what I do know is slightly better than Vita hardware specs.

I agree with all of these, but add these also:

>Lost Izalith completely rebuilt
>Add some of the cooler newer spells/weapons as long as it makes sense, but not too many of them either

Do you think the remaster will solely improve the graphics and FPS or will we see anything else?

Like new/better animations, weapons, gestures, armor, etc

They pretty go into the settings and increase the resolution. If you're really lucky they run a bad upscale filter over the textures so they look 1% better while being 3x the filesize.

I really hope fun builds are possible still, SL1 Darkwraith here I come.

Other than that fixing Lost Izalith and Demon Ruins would be too hard, for now I just hope they turn down the lave brightness, fix some camera issues with some bosses and give some boost to the covenants.

It's coming to the switch, so I doubt they will improve anything.

Demon's was a contracted Sony PS3 exclusive, so it will unfortunately not get a remake/remaster for a long time

I think only Atlus has the rights to Demon's I think.

Switch hardware is quite a bit better than what is in the Vita. Also runs at faster clocks. I think it should run decently well.

Yeah, because I'm sure that'll run just peachy on the switch, while offering many new and wonderful benefits to DaS that totally won't be an absolute headache for the development team or break elements of the game.

I would rather them do absolutely nothing to the engine and just do some updates to the game environs instead, but that requires money and we know what this is all about.

I hate that Lost Iszaleth is so important, lore-wise. If it was up to me that area would end part-way through Demon Ruins.

Cutting content would be a better alternative to keeping it the same in this case.
