Mount the ISOs of 2 & 3, and then run their installers like always.
The SH1 is a PS1 rip that you gotta emulate.
Follow the SH2 Widescreen Fixes site's instructions, and you should be fine.
If you experience issues saving the game / not being able to edit the disp.ini, make sure the files aren't set to "Read Only", and run the game as Administrator.
If SH2 gets stuck in a black screen upon launch, close it and re-start it again.
If SH3 runs like shit even on a strong PC, check and lower the Rendering Resolution setting.
SH2-4 do not support Xinput & PS4 gamepads natively. Either use Xpadder, a DirectInput pad, or just play with KB+M.
There's OK emu-settings for SH1 in the guide. If the image of the game does NOT fill your entire screen in fullscreen mode, check your plugin AND GPU control panel's image scaling settings!
Try the PGXP emulator for a lot less wobbly PS1 graphics.

Literal no.
Flesh is chock full of blood, dummy.
Lol, no.
The Evil Within is one of my favorite games of this generation but it's a completely different flavor of horror than Silent Hill. Literally why not both
THE spookiest game, ever.
I put that game right next to Siren on the list of games I can't even bring myself to play.
I always figured it meant something along the lines of "fearing your own demise leads to fearing the demise of others", considering it is fear FOR flesh and not fear OF flesh it means you are fearing the well-being of the "flesh" not fearing the flesh itself. "Flesh" I interpret as others, considering it seems the blood is your own and the flesh is not, otherwise the phrase would be totally pointless and basically saying the same thing twice ("fear of your own blood tends to create a fear for your own flesh" would be a pretty pointless thing to say considering you bleed when your flesh is harmed anyway, I figure the blood and flesh are seperate).
I always thought Siren was too frustrating to be fun.
I know people like to claim SH games have shitty controls but Siren had the jankiest controls ever which made the stealth sections impossible.
Is it really that scary?
Siren's just too clunky to play and super strict by its "script" of how you're meant to play the levels, making them not so enjoyable to play. Not exactly that spooky for the most part.

>tfw you can't save the original Cheryl/Alessa and Lisa
I had already played the original Resident Evil and Silent Hill quadrilogy by the time I played the (original) AoM mod, the non-DC version. It already BTFO of all of those games when it comes to the pure terror and haunting atmosphere. DC version's even "worse" in many ways.
It took me ages to gather courage to push forward from certain late-game spot, simply because I was scared shitless.
The mods are also quite challenging to boot. If you waste your basic supplies, you will get raped.

Man I'm still upset about what happened to her.
Thanks user, would you say it's similar to cry of fear?

Cry Of Fear was literally made by the same guy, and is in all ways a spiritual sequel TO the AoM.
CoF however totally overhauled the gameplay and graphics, making it look more fresh and play more like the RE-era survival horrors, while the core gameplay and engine in AoM mods are practically the same as in stock HL1
you are retarded my friend
how well would arnold do in silent hill?
It means trauma. You get hurt once and you don't want to get hurt again so you avoid things that can hurt you. It literally refers to Alessa.
The way the flashlight works makes the game very scary.
Its basically a spot of light that you push around onto surfaces which sometimes results in you accidentally jump-scaring yourself.
Its hard to describe.
