I finally decided to get a ps4, but I don't know if it's worth spending more for the ps4 pro.
Is there a noticeable difference between the 2? I know it's not much money but if it's basically the same I have no reason to spend more for nothing.

There's your difference, can't you decide judging by the screenshots? Every major release will probably get the same treatment
Get pro, don't use UHD (fake 4K which isn't 4000, and isn't even UHD, it's checkerboard upscaling to mimic UHD), use the 1080p and get better performance than the regular lagstation 4.
But that screenshot alone doesn't say much, maybe in that particular game it looks different but in others everything looks the same?
the framerate though. I'd say if you're gonna buy one now, buy a pro and enable the backwards enhanced performance option. even if the game doesn't have specific support, it will run better
Everything sony is doing is half-assed as shit
This thread is relevant to my interests
if you own a 4K TV or a PSVR then it's worth it
I have 0 interest in taking part on stupid console wars thread. I made this because I am set to buy a ps4, you're not gonna change my mind, but I need to know if the pro is worth the money.
From some of the videos I saw there doesn't seem to be much difference, thats why I made the thread, because maybe in person you can tell a noticeable difference that might not show in youtube videos.
Depends on the game. Battlefield 1 and Dark Souls 3 get pretty big fps boosts. If you play The Last Guardian in 1080p mode it locks to 30. Warframe is night and day.
If you don't own a PS4 the Pro is a no-brainer. Just pay that little extra money and rest easy. Not all games will support it, but in most cases you will get better and more consistent fps with better visuals. There's even that boost mode thing which apparently helps with Bloodborne and other stuff too.
I really wanted nioh/bloodborne/nier combo to start, I'm assuming those get boosts since they are kinda "new".
Was thinking the same, I might end up just getting the pro in the end.
Do you have a 4K TV?
Is the Pro going to be less or more noisy than a regular PS4?
the videos are bullshit.(I went through the same shit) it seems like you want to be convinced not to go for the pro. so if you're low on cash, go for the slim as it's cheap as fuck. if you're not low on cash though, go for the pro.
Not right now, but I was also considering buying one if they are not too expensive beucase I gotta change my shitty tv soon.
I was convinced a couple months ago that the pro version wasn't necessary , but the more I read about it I think I might just get it, because I rather have wasted a bit of money on something that isn't as good as I thought instead of buying something that might be under powered for certain games. Gonna have to stop being such a jew at some point.
Might aswell just get a Pro then. The difference is what, 100 bucks?
There's different models, the newest are apparently less noisy. Some of the older models sound like jet engines.
if even
Yeah, but pointing it out triggers Sup Forums. Nier Automata runs 1080p on Pro for example.
Early adopters BTFO again.
I live in a third world shithole where the price for the ps4 pro with no blunded games or anything is going for 570 dollaridoos.
Unless you have psvr or a bigass 4k tv im gonna say its not worth it
