how were you supposed to know that this kong's one h**l of a guy?

because there are so fucking many of them, and are practically the only thing in individual rooms.

Nothing of note is in the room outside of the painting. The painting is large, and is centered on an elevated platform (which itself stands out from the red carpet). The stairs to said platform is directed straight into the painting as well. Before this, you learned the most basic controls, so by just how the design works and with the knowledge you've learned thus far, it would be a natural response to try jumping at or into the painting to see if you can interact with it.

also the painting ripples when you walk into it

Toad tells you

If you walk into the wall underneath it a rippling effect appears, which should be hint enough that you can interact with it.

literally says it in the song, you mindless dolt

Oh yeah. That. It simulates water, so the natural response is to "go swim in it".

why would i listen to the stupid rap?

>Not naturally having a compulsion to jump into paintings

Autism

This

How can you not appreciate the greatest piece of art created within the last 5000 years?

Tru

And if you didn't read it, you were either retarded or some third-world goat fucker.

find the lone holdout who hasn't played super mario 64 and have him play it to observe what he does, user.

why does everyone always portray mario's speech as simple with "-a" everywhere when he can clearly dictate himself very well as shown here

>You will never play SM64 for the first time again

Because they shimmer and wiggle you stupid fuck.

Toad next to the entrance tells you

Fun Fact: Modern consoles cannot replicate the ripple effect from the paintings in this game.

There's plaques all over the castle telling this.

Here you go this seems more suited for you

you were supposed to walk right up to it, and the notice the ripple effect that resulted.
this ripple implied it’s permeable, but even if ou didn’t realize that the ripple would probably prompt you to mess around with it and eventually jump in.
