How long have you played videogames?
Did your eyesight get worse due to it?
How long have you played videogames?
Did your eyesight get worse due to it?
gamed all my life
didn't get worse had shit genetics from the start
I dunno what numbers they are, but my glasses are at -4 dioptry; I can't see the toilet bowl when I piss in the morning, I piss by sound
other people with a similar track record have okay eyesight, so it was genetic lottery
I've been playing since I was 4 and I'm still at 20/20, but the doctor said my left eye will probably need a lens in 5 years time.
all my life
-10 dioptry on both eyes
hmm
Apparently mine haven't been affected by playin vidya. I've played all my life. I'm 22 now, maybe I'll need glasses in a few years though. But that might be because our eyes get worse with age and not necessarily because I play vidya all the time.
>dad keeps lights off all the time for years to save money on the electricity bill
>now everyone in my family wears glasses
eat shit dad
Started at 6, still at 20/20 vision. Contrary to popular belief, staring at screens doesn't ruin your eyesight.
fan-theory here is that reading at low light fucks you over hard, I marathoned harry potter novels in the dark now my eyesight's shit
Currently at Dioptry +3, been gaming since I was 7, 13 years later and still no problems.
>eyesight is going to shit every year, don't know what caused it
End it bros
Used to have better than 20/20 when I was 16 then at 19 my eye sight got worse. Its still not bad enough for contacts
>Learnt a while ago that my right eye will slowly lose its focus over the years due that my left eye is the dominant
Another reason to kill myself before 30
>tfw both parents need glasses but I don't need them
I'm just waiting for my eyesight to go any day now
Probably around 20~ years. My eyes used to be really good, quite a bit better than 20/20, I still dont need glasses but they've definitely gotten worse. I think its just natural aging/genetics though, both my parents needed glasses by their late 20s, and Im 24 so I'll probably end up there as well.
The only way to destroy your eyesight is by looking at the sun or pouring acid in them.
The rest is old wives tales.
Since I was 4 and it did get worse. Just do the corrective surgery after 23.
All my life, playing handhelds all night from the years 7-11 meant I needed glasses when I was 12. Think both eyes are -5.
>how long
For about 25 years now
>eye sight get worse
Stayed just about the same.
My cousin got that, and he said it wore off after 6 or 7 years, although he got it about a decade ago so technology/procedures have probably improved since then. It didn't "wear off" to his original state though, he just now needs reading glasses at night. He's also like 55 now, so maybe age has something to do with it too
What?
How old are you user?
eye sight problems from screens are a myth. theres literally billions of computers and phones and tvs, used for decades and the biggest concern is blinking/eyes drying out
>but huge companies surpress that
lmao no. if that was true then countries who hate the world would latch onto that shit. you think apple and samsung can surpress north korea talking shit about phones being bad for your eyes but the united states government cant get kim to calm the fuck down and stop firing missiles into the ocean? go fuck yourself.
Played video games all my life. 20/20 in my left eye and 20/15 in my right one. Vidya could be responsible for the difference, but its still not bad.
