STALKER is very immersive and good. Even without mods. v1.4 thats on Steam is very stable

I would recommend the same thing, but try running the game for a while w/o mods and see if it runs well and doesn't crash, though you should just get ZRP just for bug fixes.

Don't really care for challenge as much as experience. I find that pointlessly difficult gameplay just fucks things up imo. I'd rather realistic, 2 shots and you're dead, for everyone over bullet sponges.

That's the point, master difficulty makes the enemies drop in 1 or 2 shots

Master difficulty is literally the easiest difficulty
because all damage is increased, including yours
so you can kill everything with even a pea-shooter

For real? Feels like enemies can take a while 9mm mag before keeling over.

master means that bullets are 100% accurate.

The game is retarded, and in lower difficulties rolls a dice every time you hit (or are you hit) and sometimes it deletes the fucking bullet.
