I think it's crazy that a console can outperfom a PC with comparible prices. With OLED TV's out there with 4K and HDR, it makes you wonder why people pay for extra frames.

That's no good for Microsoft as long as Steam is allowed to exist. They make much more off of the players locked into the Xbox ecosystem than they do off of gamers on Windows.
XboneX was built to destroy PC gaming, and if its not doing that Microsoft will try to force that outcome harder.

I can see that as I've felt the same way towards Sony since the release of the PS3.

The X is a very nice upgrade even if you don't have a 4K tv as it does a superb job of supersampling every game.

Pro is a half step. Sony panicked at the idea of Scorpio so they made their own, except refused to commit to the idea so its basically there with little benefit to consumers

To be fair it thrashed the PS4PRO at performace according to those Digital Foundry videos in most games it actually gets true 4K resolution.
What killed the hype is that the games are still the same base Xbox One games, the same little to none exclusive games, it's a premium price console for 2K-4K multiplats+Halo, nothing really groundbreaking or different from the competition other than "much textures and muh graphics".

For what is good that much power if the games are the same shit as the rest of the consoles other than graphics?

As a comfy couch/bed multiplat machine, thing is pretty damn cool. I honestly use it a lot more than my PC because I'm too fucking lazy after work to even sit in a computer chair to play vidya.

Not sure why anyone would buy a PS4 Pro at $400 over this considering pretty much all of the PS4's exclusives are cinematic experiences and weebshit.

We already know that consoles are equal or even slightly better in terms of price:performance. It's just about everything else that makes getting a PC better (upgradability, cheaper games, better indie platform, emulators, more controller options, etc.)

I was originally planning on getting an Xbox One X and Nintendo Switch this year, now I'm just getting an Xbox One X because Nintendo blew their load in a year. They better have a good library of games, Virtual Console, a revision, and a 2D Metroid game (Metroid 5) on the Switch if I'm going to waste my money on that thing. 2018 and 2019 are the Xbox's years.
