My problem isn't what it's trying to convey, which is so damn un-subtle that it'd be hard to not at the least get an idea of what it's going for. It's the fact that the whole thing is so damn manipulative in all of the worst ways possible. Something like youtube.com/watch?v=ZeBrnuQxEsQ is depressing while also being cohesive and not entirely obvious in it's direction. It wants to talk about low self esteem, body issues, and the more indirect affects they can have on a person's development, and does it well. This just screams FEEL SAD though. The reality is millions of people are addicted to digital media but you don't see it in public as much so it scares people when a game like Pokemon Go actually makes people stand around in public fixated on digital media.
