Era is fine, they havent had a good game since shogun 2 which was technically worse than rome 1. Unfortunate. I prepurchased rome 2 and got warhammer total war for free, didnt play ether for more than 20 mins because of how badly optimized and how samey they were. I have zero hopes. Expect a shell of a game and once you spend an extra $40-80 on it, it will start resembling a finished product. Modding is still around but it's been severely nutted. They provide no decent mod tools, it's all community stuff and it's very limited. No model imports, animations or total conversions or anything. Just basic reskins or changes you can achieve by editing numbers in an excel table. That's it.

Highly recommends The Ravages of Time Chinese manga on the Bromance of the 3 Kingdoms. Really developed each historical figure and make them appear more than they seems beyond the pages of history and fantasy. Of course, you still get Dynasty Warrior tier battles as from the legends.
