Leon's death was the only good death scene in the whole franchise. (And maybe Chiaki's, if we're counting anime)

It's the only one that truly and properly ironic and brutal. All the others end up being Monokuma hijinks and whacky over-engineered performances.

How exactly did Mondo die? Maybe I'm just remembering it wrong, but didn't he die by spinning around really fast?
I would also argue that Peko and Chiaki's executions were pretty good mostly due to the emotional value. With that said, I also liked best demonlord's execution even though it wasn't anything special.
I just started the third game so I can't say too much, but the first execution was really good and I hope they just get better from there.

Leon's execution sucked. Celeste's was better because it set her up for a romanticized death (burned at the stake like a witch) but then killed her in an incredibly plain way (hit by a car). She was desperate to make herself out to be exotic and special so to give her such a boring death was the ultimate salt in the wound.
