None, the 3ds xl didnt chopped the life of the regular, neither the new 3ds killed the og 3ds(there are like 2 or 3 games that require new), most of nintendo's new handheld versions are minor upgrades that you dont need to upgrade (and the upgrades are really not worth it if you alredy had one)

3DS isn't the first thing they made. Not like Virtualboy had a rubust life. Or the 100 versions of the DS with varying features pros and cons. Or the Wii that got abandon without getting entries in a lot of main series or much of anything. Or the WiiU that got the same treatment minus the shovelware mountain so it had all of 10 games. Hell even the N64 was shorted games because a number of factors limiting its hardware, but it did get a full lifespan of its tiny library.

Not what he said. He said parts conflicting, parts are hardware. Software and drivers can be an issue, which is solved checking auto-update or just remembering to do a thing.

Games that don't work well on AMD? I've run across this once where the solution was to turn on PhysX. However, Nvidia fucked their own customers with that by paying off games to support it heavily while not even making it work right on half their own cards at the time. Again an ancient problem more common when there were competing standards and we all wanted the latest VooDoo card to play Quake.

The most recent patch for hardware compatibility I've seen be an issue was the controller patch on the Xbox at release.

Nothing he said has been common since Squaresoft was still a thing. And all those issues now happen on console as well because they are PCs now and the last real console was the WiiU and half of Sup Forums hated it.

At least they gave you Valkyria Chronicles 6 years after the PS3 had it, and the 2011 Tohoku crisis happened in the middle of it. Nevermind VC4 which was practically made because the Steam version was so successful and popular. Or what about the 7 year old Bayonetta or 6 year old Vanquish? Surely Sega cares about us, j-just try to ignore them delaying Mania for PC for no rhyme or reason, or them releasing a dozen games for consoles that PC wasn't getting like the Yakuzas, Project Divas, Puyo Puyo Tetris, and many others.
