It is so bad

but the graphics look cool

Its probably one of my top games in terms of gaming hours.
I dont even really like, its just kinda comfy to play.

nothing Bioware has made since Neverwinter Nights has been good and even then that was only good because of the technical/multiplayer aspects

it's awful, it's like a single player MMO, grind and all

its a good standalone game, but shit one to be a sequel

It's Tumblr's favourite game in the series while DA:O is the least favourite because I've seen it cited as old, clunky, not as pretty as previous games, Morrigan having bad characterization, too much emphasis on combat nobody likes, Sten being problematic and so on.

I suppose DA:I is good if you're looking for a very specific kind of character interaction and enjoying camaraderie with your companions, which is what BioWare tries to excel at.

I mean, even Sup Forums likes Cassandra.

Depends on wether you liked the earlier games and can handle the bioware experience, bunch of dialogue and text to get through, combat that gets old fast and relatively shallow npcs. If you stick with it you can find some enjoyment from it. One mechanic in particular, where you sit on your throne and pass judgement on story enemies comes to mind.

>the graphics look cool

Everything, from the environments to the character models look like they've been slathered in grease

The only parts of it I enjoyed were the references to origins. I couldn't give a fuck about any of the new characters because my girl leliana was distracting me the whole time.

It's better than 2. That is all.

>unironically settled
This board is just too much for me

This was one of the most forgettable games I've ever played.
They really tried to improve on the shit pile that was DA2 by making it like Skyrim and fell way short

Everytime I want to try and playthrough this I think of that mobile trash tier mission table and lose all interest.

Its ok if you looking for single player MMO.
Its fine, just ok, nothing more. I completed it tho, so for me its something.

Goddamn Bioware makes shitty excuses for side "quests"
>pick up random shit on a mission
>quest added, deliver it to whatshisname
>Oh thank you serah
>20 coppers added
>back to safe house, have buttsex with npc

I liked the combat, it's better than most games.
I dunno why the hate, game was comfy af. runs great. And if I knew how to install mods on a pirated version i would have installed that "no waiting in war room" mods and be done with it.

>First Dragon Age game had a shit ton of spells and they all interacted with each other
>This one has like 5 and none of them do anything to the other ones

Why?

it's just boring

>the crafted masterworks armor looks the same regardless of class
>8 bindable skill slots even on pc
>respawning potion system
>literally every quest is a fetch quest

I like it. The monotony of exploring and collecting shit doesn't really bother me. Story and writing are solid, if unexceptional. Next to something like, say, Andromeda, it's a god damned masterpiece.

You just have to get a mod to remove the time requirements on war room missions. It really does a lot to make the game flow better.

I finished it and it took me 60 hours so it's not terrible. It is one of the weakest games I've played this gen though
I hate Bioware's approach to "open world" and for a game that focuses on companion interaction and what not there really isn't much of it. Story is nothing special either and the combat is pure buton mashing (I played it on hard btw)

It's a mediocre game in everything it does.

P.S: People bitching about SJWs didn't play the game

Yep. That's the best that can be said of it. At least it isn't as bad as DA2.

DA:O >>>>>>>> DA:I >> DA2

Main story was nice, went with the open world meme though. Huge worlds filled with mostly fetch quests.

>P.S: People bitching about SJWs didn't play the game

Yep. There was some social justice shit shoe-horned in, but it wasn't a central point of the game.

Wasn't even close to as good as Origins.

It's a massive step down from Dragon Age: Origins but a huge improvement over Dragon Age 2. If you haven't played it, expect an RPG that's overstuffed, but empty. It has the same issue as Kingdoms of Amalur where it feels like a Single Player MMO. You get massive sprawling zones with a billion fetch quests, instead of a tight, concise single player RPG that has optional content in addition to the main story.

I always liked that bioware really tried to recreate the feeling of loosing Duncan. I mean you are told through entire game to mourn some she-pope who was good and kind and wise but you've never actually met her and couldn't care less.

I also liked that part when all the drama from da2 (mages vs templars) is solved within 1 hour of the game - just pick one side and the other became evil.

>Story and writing are solid

Magic was better in 2

>Hey, its an objectively good game! Its just that its subjectively bad due to objectively bad issues

The fucking boss battle is bugged btw. The dude knocked me off the stage (half his bar was still full) and when I got back up he was gone and after one minute the battle ended.
That entire last section was rushed af but come on

still cracks me up the box art is wrong, the anchor is placed on your left hand not right

The box art is a mirror silly, you just can't see its corners

That mod exists
I installed it and the game still bored me to tears

Why is this? I honestly think it's kinda of a dogshit game but i still find it really comfy.

Same here. I'm a sucker for BioWare games and I know the game isn't really that good, but it's really comfy and relaxing to play.

It's got the Elder Scrolls appeal: if you look at each element of the game, it sucks, but together it just works.
