It's-It's dead, guys.
ARMS still going strong: 300 K sold in Japan
I’m glad it is a hit in Japan, because that might mean we get another installment with more single player modes.
I’m too trash for multiplayer. Hell, I’m too trash for single player. I can’t built the first fight in Level 7 Grand Prix. I don’t even know what I’m doing wrong.
I love Minmin. But I have still been impressed with all the added characters.
Twintelle's ass was the best thing to come out of this game
Good. I honestly love playing this game. In Ranked. Party Mode raises my blood pressure
>Skillshot
>Hoops
>3 Man Free For All
So fucking awful
>350
I'm looking forrward to ARMS2
>2v2
>"oh this could be fun"
>you're connected at the hip to your partner by a 5 ft rope
the support officially ended
>Pokken still getting DLC even though it first released almost 2 years ago
>meanwhile arms content stops less then 6 months after launch
It got an update last night, with a new online event announced
So wait, did ARMS bomb or didn't it? I keep seeing conflicting reports.
ARMS is still getting stuff
Free content dlc but that doesn’t make they won’t update the game.
It sold great, over a million during summer alone.
It did not get an esports following behind it.
Game is fun occasionally with friends.
Yeah, but it is paid DLC not slowrolling launch content like Splat. It is a different beast.
As of September 2017 it sold 1.3 million, and for the last month it made a HUGE comeback in the japanese charts, currently sitting at 330k in japan.
It'll pass 2 million sales if it hasn't already, making it one of the more successful new IPs Nintendo has put out
>Still doing balance patches
>ARMS is still a thing
you dirty fucking memers....
Here's hoping Splatoon and ARMS' success gives them confidence in putting out more new IPs
(I wonder how well Ever Oasis sold)
We aren’t pretending it isn’t lining bargain bins in the US.
I would honestly love to see a spin off of ARMS that acts as a more traditional 2d fighter.
I do love the current game. I just want to see what they would come up with.
>Spring Man is the Switch guest character in Soul Caliber
plz
But we don't need to pretend it isent
Yup. Things don’t have to be cultural phenomena to be worthwhile.
It's a great game
I actually really enjoy 3 man. Its just as much if not more about positioning yourself to not be in the middle as it is about fighting
...
The New Party Crash is up.
>Misango Vs Lola Pop
Damn. This is a tough one. Lola is cute, cute! But Misango is a cool dude.
Did moderately well but it didn't do as well as Splatoon and Nintendo put a decent push behind it.
I don't know how the clashes work. Is it based on who gets played the most online?
ARMS literally just got a balance update yesterday night
It actually sold really well for a new IP on a console that was only a couple months old at the time of launch, but it wasn't a fucking phenomenon like Splatoon so according to Sup Forums it "flopped"
>still getting new art
Is Misago mean?
>be a rank 17 Helix
>fight against a rank 20 Kid Cobra who's really fucking good and kicks my ass hard in the first round
>manage to barely win the second match with rush
>third match has me be at 1hp in the first quarter of the match while I barely did shit to him
>manage to get his HP down to 25% with rush and barely managing to block his.
>win with 1hp with a sucker punch
Playing ranked is such a damn sugar rush because of moments like this.
Makes me think of those MAMA MIA posters thinking that, because Codename STEAM didn't sell well, that Splatoon was also going to be a flop. Faggots.
People think STEAM is a bad game, right? It wasn't just bad publicity.
Everyone I heard who's played it thought it was really fun, but people were mostly turned off by the graphics/artstyle and the long enemy turns (which was thankfully patched).
STEAM is one of the most underrated games ever.
>FFA
>Mouth breather is up your ass the entire game not noticing the third player just standing in the back with full health
>by the time one of us knock the other out we have no health and nobody has touched the third person
>Hedlok
>that one guy with the mental handicap who can't stop grabbing hedlok so we lose by time out
So I never bought this game but might get it used. Did players inevitably switch to controllers or do the high skilled players still use motion controls?
Maybe I'll pick it up again. I own it. I just never really played much of it.
EVO Japan ruleset for ARMS:
>double elimination
>First Round Bo1
>Semi-finals and finals Bo3
>Random stage selection
>Open Customs
Banned stages
>Cinema
>Snake park
>Buster beach
It's like they want this game to flop.
Fuck is wrong with Buster Beach?
By the nature of the mechanics its less precise than traditional fighting games but the footsie factor is so good I can never get enough.
hot pocket
What's wrong here?
Arms matches are some what long.
>Pokken
>2 characters Paid DLC
>Arms
>5 characters free DLC
Really makes you think
Bo1s aren't ideal for any situation in competitive play because you dont have enough time to adapt to the player before elimination. It also doesn't help that the stages you play on are random, no counterpicking or anything like that, so you are guaranteed to lose regardless because where you end up will skew the results. It's especially bad since there's like 341 people playing, and doing Bo3 wouldn't be that bad in that situation.
Is cinema taken outta ranked yet?
They banned all the shit stages m8
It ain't like smash where on character will get a crazy advantage cuz of a stage.
In Party Crash you get points for winning and using specific ARMS that rotate every 10 Minutes and you points will go to the team of the character you played the most.
Example: If you played 25 matches as Ribbon Girl and 50 matches as Springman, your points will go to Springman and the special badge you get will be the Springman one.
>Name Redacted
>Ninja College
>Ribbon Ring
>DNA lab
Not saying these are bad stages, with the exception of ninja college maybe, but they do obviously benefit specific characters like Helix hiding behind the tubes in DNA lab and any player at the top of the stairs already having an advantage. There outta be neutral stages like Sparring ring and spring stadium and then allow choosing a counter pick stage.
Ah. Neat. Maybe I'll support Lola.
Misango looks swag as fuck right there.
Welcome aboard you made the right choice.
Sometimes Vs Hedlok is the funniest shit.
>Party Crash Vs Hedlok
>SO MUCH RUSH
>tfw tactical use of our rushes juggles Hedlok for a full minute
Kek
That smile is a gift
I have a clown fetish now
...
>official art of all the girls looking at clown ass
They know what they created
Minmin's RBF is cute!
The girs just need to know the competition mate.
Ass game is real is ARMS
Everyone in ARMS has a nice ass, even the guys No homo
twintelle knows she's still the top player in that game
I really like her calves
>ARMS still going strong: 300 K sold in Japan
you know Nintendo doesn't care about domestics right?
I actually like this game a lot, but the main problem with it is the fact that the only good mode is 1v1. Every other mode is clunky and feels tacked on.
>ywn be put in a headlock by those calves as she forcefeeds you her ramen arms
I feel like it deserves a sequel that improves on its flaws, but by now we already have Mario + Rabbids to fill that XCOM-esque niche.
>New global test punch when?
A lot of new people have bought the console since the original, just put the online for free for a weekend
>21 character roster
>10 character roster
Its not free dlc, they just sold you an incomplete game and release the missing parts over time. Same happened with splatoon
And Pokken forced you to buy the Switch Version if you wanted 4 characters that already existed in the arcade version but they refused to add to the Wii U version. Your point?
>this
The game is less than 3 gigs for fuck's sake. Should've been 30 dollars, at least.
>not being shit at compression like most companies these days is suddenly a bad thing
sasuga Sup Forums, lap up your 60 gig DRM installs
Isn't the save file on Madden or some other sports game like, the same size as the entirety of Super Mario Odyssey? Are third parties stupid, are Nintendo wizards, or both?
>smallest 1st party Nintendo game on the console
>least amount of content from a 1st party game
I think I'm on to something
>Best 1st party Nintendo game on the console has the least amount of content
Boy how do they do it
>He didn't wait to get ARMS on the Switch 2
LMAOing at your life
Which is typical for fighting games
>I M P L Y I N G
Why does Coyle see nothing but disappointment in Helix
Yes, I am.
>ARMS
>Best 1st party Nintendo game on the console
cough cough
he looks really good in a suit
>best 1st party game
>literally only one good game mode
Zelda's not even as good as Mario
