Where the heck do I go?

So atm im in Old Yhahram, i explored all of it ( or so i think ) and i dont know where to go I beat the guy who shoots me with the giant gun and I went into the dark underground thing with like 15 monsters. Was that all of Old Yharham or am I missing something?

Old Yharnam is just an optional area.

IIRC you should buy the key for 10k and continue from there.

Kill Amelia in the churchy place
Then kill the Shadows of Yarnham in the Snake Woods

There's a church at the very end of Old Yharnam with the Blood Starved Beast. Once BSB is dead, a door in Oedon Chapel opens and there's a way into Cathedral Ward through there. If you beat the Cleric Beast, you can also buy the Emblem for 10,000 blood echoes and open a gate into Cathedral Ward. That won't let you access the stuff in Oedon Chapel though.

Ignore these nignogs. Don't skip the BSB.

Get 10k echoes, buy the key or whatever the fuck it is from the little dudes and unlock the gate at the top of the stairs outside of cathedral ward then proceed to fuck bitches.

Common mistake is missing the right turn at the end that takes you down to BSB
When you go past the guy with the big gun,
go into the big church and head out the door on bottom floor,
on your left are a bunch of crows,
on your right is another door that takes you into a dark room with more beasts and a few chests,
In between both the crows and the door is a right turn that takes you down further.
Many people miss it as they tend to keep looking left when running from the crows to the door so just look right

Get the 10k key from the shop and go to the main cathedral and pet the doggo.

You can do Old Yharnam whenever, yeah. It's just the intended path through the game for beginners. You can get a bunch from doing Old Yharnam before Cathedral Ward+Vicar Amelia.
