Reminder that switch has no games to the point a sequel of a game nobody wanted ended up selling "well".
Switch: The Indie Machine

???
>A game selling well is a bad thing somehow
try harder faggot, meat boy is good and so is the Switch
Sup Forumsros, I have $85 to spend on eshop games, give me your recommendations.
>Highest selling exclusives last year
>no games
>a port of a game that's been out for years
>anyone could buy it or even pirate it for 8 years
>yet people only play it now because it's on a system with barely anything else
Does it even have the original OST?
Switch is great for pixelshit indie games since they're so well suited for portability.
Fast RMX.
What games do you already own?
metal slug 3
>already bought and beat sonic mania on ps4
>very strongly want it portable on switch
>would also bring back fun memories of playing sonic 1 on the game gear
someone stop me please
Blaster Master Zero
invest in bitcoin
Golf Story
>Reminder that switch has no games
t. someone who doesn't know the switch's library
Sonic Mania
Picross S
Does this still have the newer soundtrack, or did they patch things up?
Golf Story
Furi
Sonic Mania
VOEZ
Steamworld Dig 2
Stardew valley is amazing if you haven't already played it. I love the game and I'd buy it on switch if money wasn't so tight. Just got into a car accident and I was at fault :(
Aww. Sorry to hear that man. :(
Did OP get it confused with Super Meat Boy Forever
Keep supporting Christian Whitehead, you fag. And don't ever buy Forces on any system, we need Sega to understand what's good for the series.
no wish they danny and and edmond would just kiss and make up already, and re add the original soundtrack
Do it.
Switch had five bomb-ass, completely new, AAA games. That's not counting MK8D, in which my friends and I have put 30 hours into battle mode, easy.
On top of that, it is the obvious choice for indie/budget games. Why would I buy Sonic Mania on another system?
Switch has had the best first year of any console and it ain't even close.
I have a toaster that shits itself trying to run Darkest Dungeon, I finally have a chance to play these games without wanting to stab a knife down my chest every 10 seconds
I've got some digital games, of the ones mentioned I have fast rmx and sonic mania. There's some I'm interested in, like yooka laylee, poly bridge, resident evil, darkest dungeon, rocketleague.
I know those seem kinda random but is what to play.
I've heard good things about stardew...maybe that one. Any others? Thanks anons
Sorry to hear that user, hope you get back in your feet soon
>5
please list the ones you are referring to
The Resident Evil ports are good. Use joycons for gyro aiming. No pro controller gyro aiming for some reason.
binding of isaac
Neo geo turf masters
Not him, but I'm assuming it is Xenoblade 2, Mario Odyssey, Mario + Rabbids, Splatoon 2, and Breath of the Wild.
Thumper if you don't have it already.
>Switch has no games
>This is the 20th not game that has sold best on Switch
kek
It's like this for every new console. The 3DS was fucking great for indie games for its for few years, it's why garbage like Mutant Mudds was a top seller. Once more games come out the Switch will start to be less profitable for indie devs.
Why would you buy any SMB re-release when it doesn't use Danny B's music anymore? I mean, I could forgive it if it had even decent replacements, but it doesn't. 360 and PC releases are the only acceptable ones.
Is Mario + Rabbids really that good?
It's pretty solid. The combat is fun, but the "puzzles" and shit in between battles is kind of tedious.
wait for mecenaries saga chronicles, is a FFTactics clone and only cost 1500 yen (around 10 bucks)
So how long is it going to take for Switch to fully catch Nintenbros up on the last 10 years of video games?
You fags need to stop being so salty that games are selling on Switch.
everyone keeps saying splat2 is really good and I'm interested in it myself but I really don't want to feel obligated to pay for online on another console eventually
is it really worth it?
No kidding
It's not like any other company put in enough effort in courting indie developers. Freakin' Steam could have done it, but they lagged badly
Oxenfree if its still on sale for $5
There needs to be a smug Switch mascot version of the Zelda "minutes since Sup Forums got triggered by Breath of the Wild" picture.
Golf Story. Shit's legit funny.
>People still spin the good sales of a game into something negative because the Switch supposedly has no games, even though it has a few hundred at this point
>He's so proud of scoring 10/10/10/10 in mental gymnastics that he was confident enough to make a thread about this, when in actuality this thread is unintentionally pro-Nintendo
This.
With all the bullshit that AAA game publishers have been pulling over the last few years, quite frankly I'm all for a console being a solid place for indies. Especially since Steam, which was once that place, has become so flooded with shit that it's damn near impossible to sort through it all. Plus a lot of indie games lend themselves well to being played portable.
Saying the Switch is an "indie machine" is actually a plus at this point. I could get 4-5 solid indie games for the price of some shit like Battlefront 2, and those won't keep bugging me for microtransactions afterwards.
>Previously the studio was refusing to release their game on WiiU unless meat boy got in smash first
>Now they've rushed to get it out by the Switch's first year and cash in on that sweet indie bonus the console gives
Really shows how drastically things have turned around
Do it fag
>>Previously the studio was refusing to release their game on WiiU unless meat boy got in smash first
What the fuck?
Overcooked if you have friends
>toaster that shits itself trying to run Darkest Dungeon
Jesus how old is it
been playing it on my vita just fine
I wanna buy this on switch so bad but FORTY FUCKING BUCKS is too much.
During the smash ballot, they said something along the lines of "If meat boy gets in we'll release the game on Nintendo consoles
Is that the version with shit music?
Dragon quest builders demo is max comfy, did not expect the game to be more than just a shit Minecraft clone. Looking forward to release.
NINTENDOMINATION
How'd Furi do?
Y'all can be mad at whatever you want to; I bought Crawl for fifteen fucking dollars and I already own it on Steam.
Totally worth it for co-op and a quick dungeon fix when I'm on the go.
I'm probably going to pick up Hammerwatch soon too.
Any game brought over to Switch will start copying money at this point. Good lord.
>Worked and saved up enough money dedicated to buying a Switch
>now that I'm sitting on $400~, I don't feel like actually buying it
Yes. Even the XCOM lead designer liked it.
It's damn good. More than it has any right to be.
Battlechef Brigade
Hollow knight
Shovel knight and all it's DLC
That's all I got
That's retarded.
Furi
Sonic Mania
Battle Chef Brigade
If you can afford anything after that, Golf Story or Steamworld Dig 2
Yes shockingly.
>crawl and hammerwatch
my nigger. make sure they updated hammerwatch to save your progress before you buy. shit sucks staring over every time.
Has anyone tried Escapists 2? It looks kinda neat but I dunno if it's twenty bucks neat.
Calling it right now. The Switch's success will start affecting other gaming publishers and more PS4 and XBOX games will be ported to it.
How do we stop him sonybros?
same i already have a wiiu and pc so i feel like theres just no point unless i wanna play these games while i take a shit
I really do wanna buy one, im just not convinced yet. Too many multiplats and ports,
> Nintendo helped with the development of smb
> finally ends up on the Switch
Hilarious
>Mutant mudds has been so successful that its creator has been pushing out nothing but shit since
>You will never get a new moon or dementium
Eh it's been a long time coming.
I'm surprised BoI came before it honestly given the themes and pretty close to launch at that.
The new Meat game being a timed exclusive might give the game even more leverage of sales on Switch as well.
Tiny Metal
The mummy Demastered
Is Mummy Demastered a Metroidvania?
Would you recommend it over Shantae Half Genie Hero?
>massive million dollar star wars shooter by battlefield devs
>sucks balls and is basically gaming AIDS
>actual gaming AIDs meets bing bng wahoo
>fantastic fucking game that has no fucking right to be good at all
fucking hell it was supposed to be annoying and shit and awful but its so adorable and likeable and well designed I cant fucking hate it why is this the timeline we live in.
Honestly yes the mummy demake is pretty comfy I actually enjoyed it more than shantae.
Should I embrace digital downloads?
I can't stand the idea that my games will be gone forever but changing and storing game cards are also a hassle.
HOLY FUCK, SHITPOSTERS ACTUALLY HAVE TO SHITPOST ABOUT -GOOD- SALES ON NINTENDO SYSTEMS THESE DAYS. IT'S OVER BROS, WE WON. SONY IS DYING.
I'm 50/50 on it.
Since there's no ACA compilation box, I'll pick up one or two of those a month.
Some indie games have yet to receive physical versions so I'll pick those up but for the bigger games, I'll go with physical to save space on my SD card (unless it's a game that doesn't take a huge hit to my SD).
>Dragon quest builders demo is max comfy
framerate is noticably low, "combat" is terrible button mashing, story is childish (I guess it suits manchildren), and the block-placing controls are cumbersome.
>Game sells well
>ITS BECAUSE THEY ARE STARVED
it's decent. a bit easy and no replay value, but pretty fun while it lasts, and the atmosphere is great.
>eshop
Fuck off. No physical, no buy.
Digital is great for games you are generally going to play in fifteen minute bursts, or for being immediately available for multiplayer fun. Splatoon 2 and MK8D come to mind.
Single-player games you can binge for hours or huge in file size should still be cartridge buys. BoTW, maybe Odyssey, Mario + Rabbids, stuff like that.
>Game sells bad
>ITS BECAUSE NO ONE HAS A SWITCH
what
who says that
switch has sold really well since it was released
Blaster Master Zero
Literally why the fuck?
While I totally understand the appeal of not being locked to a TV or Computer to play a small game like Meatboy, there isn't a fucking good dpad between the joycons and the switch pro. I can't imagine playing a whole even remotely demanding 2D game on either and dropped the single one I purchased for my Switch because it was so much hand cancer.
Don't listen to him Tiny Metal is shit. 50% of the game is bad dialogues. I'll recommend Thumper, Picross S, Furi, Golf Story, Fast RMX, The Mummy Demastered, and saving money for Darkest Dungeon and Hollow Knight.
I just got it today. Actually yes.
...
Try the joy con d pad, trust me. It’s surprisingly good
>Mummy Demastered
Hell yea it's pretty good
I fucking DID that you retard did you even read my post?
I dropped the Mummy Demastered 2 hours in and just pirated it on PC since I already owned a copy. God awful. Switch has the worst controllers of the gen because I can't fucking play 2D games on them at all.
>so far the only actually new games the Switch has is Odyssey, Splatoon 2 (but just barely), ARMS and 1-2-Switch
>only new games we know of that'll be releasing this year are Kirby Star Allies, Mario Tennis Aces, Woolly World 2 and Fire Emblem
>meanwhile aside from Pokemon which is the same shit every single fucking time anyway, the only thing people are expecting now is even more ports that'll make the WiiU even more irrelevant but people will GLADLY lap up the same game released 5-6 years ago still being sold for $60 just because it includes a new Casual Mode like Funky Kong or a few new levels
You live in a timeline where someone put effort into making the Rabbids likable for once in their goddamn lives.
Also, EA & Dice fucking up Star Wars Battlefront was pre-ordained.
