Is this a good gaming pc to purchase since RAM and Nvidia cards are so overpriced now because of mining?
I'm done with consoles and would like to purchase a gaming PC instead of wasting time building one. I don't want one of those overpriced Origin PCs either.
They're all overpriced. Build it, you dumb lazy faggot.
Joshua Watson
im sure you can build a better one for the same price
Evan Richardson
The 1060 alone is going for $300-$500 on ebay. The RAM is $100+ now too/
Josiah Wood
Ehhh. That's pretty overpriced. You could probably save 200-300 dollars if you built it. If you really can't be bothered, then go ahead.
Dominic Morris
If you're going for a budget build, go amd.
Caleb Turner
I mean if you're just a lazy fuck or don't wana build it ain't bad.
Christian Kelly
>wasting time building one
It's a maximum 2 hour job for something you'll use for years.
Cooper Collins
It's actually kind of alright considering recent gpu and ram price inflation. Don't listen to people like who clearly haven't looked at computer part pricing in years.
James Foster
Like all prebuilts, it's not very balanced. You're getting a high end CPU with medium GPU, which is not the way to do things.
Cooper Thompson
its better to do your own build but its your decision its better than my computer
Chase Murphy
Arent there only 2 graphics cards that are better? 1070 and 1080?
William Kelly
Did you even look at the link?
Henry Mitchell
1080Ti which is way better than the 1080.
Owen Collins
only buy prebuilt pcs to exploit warranties
Logan Richardson
Of course I did, an i7 shouldn't ever be a concern for you unless you already have the best or second best GPU on the market. Mslaced budget, that's what it is.
Anthony Thompson
*Misplaced
Carter Ramirez
I was talking about the pre-built part. It's very clearly a custom build that the person just happens to be selling.
Jordan Kelly
Would not get anything right now. GPUs nearly doubled in price and RAM is still expensive, too. In addition CPUs have security vulnerabilites that will lead to updates which likely cripple performane. I'd wait until this is over to see what's good and what isn't - perhaps the pricing situation will have improved by then.
Ian Barnes
Tell me about adaptive sync. Should I consider an AMD GPU to avoid paying $200 extra for g-sync, or is the tech not that important in the first place?
Jaxson Turner
Wouldn't this be a good deal then? I've been waiting since last summer to buy a PC and the bitcoin mining and ruined prices for graphics cards this whole time.
Wyatt Sanders
>GPU prices have doubled, in some cases even trippled >same goes for RAM >CPUs have security issues Why do you want to get a PC again? I mean, sure PC is better for that and that reason, but at THIS time, NOW, it's not a good idea at all to get into PC gaming. You'll pay a fortune for stuff that isn't worth that price.
Joseph Reyes
It's a tough call. I personally never really notice screen tearing as I play on a 144hz monitor and can push those frames. But if you personally find it to be a problem I think getting those cheaper freesync monitors is honestly pretty nice.
Yes, at the the current point in time it is an okay deal. Prior to inflation on pricing not so much.
Isaiah Martin
If you have the money, feel free.
Oliver Lopez
it’s a fair price considering the market right now. I can’t be assed to do it but just find the equivalent prices for the same parts new total it up. I wouldn’t recommend buying anything right now. You’re pissing money away. Invest that 1 grand into something and pull it out when prices drop.
Jace Adams
case is a 20$ budget case, it's OK but nowhere near good. PSU isn't specified so switch it out for a reliable one single fan GPU is EH ram isn't specified so it's probably slow as shit, especially since it's DDR3 He specifies bitcoin mining, so most likely it'll have been used to mine cryptos, and as such will likely have been abused and thus will die faster
If you want intel, get pcpartpicker.com/list/9cwpxY if you want ryzen, get pcpartpicker.com/list/rcwpxY The case is a placeholder, do your own research You can switch the SSD for a 850 evo 250gb, but I wouldn't drop the SSD from the build. It's too good
Isaiah Morgan
>PSU isn't specified so switch Literally in the fucking picture.
Robert Perez
>G. Skill Ripjaws V Jesus man, don't recommend such brutal RAM to a newcomer.
oh just noticed that's a good PSU, so you won't need to switch it out. Most likely your GPU or CPU will die soon and your ram is slow as shit, beyond that it's a pretty good build for the price
for some more info on prices, his ram is worth ~120 and his cpu is worth ~200. (a ryzen 1600 goes even in single & quad and stomps it in multi for 200$). The case is like 20$, as I mentioned, Hard drives are 90 + 62 + 107 (so this is higher than his estimate), gpu is
that pc is 330 + 250 + 100 + 200 + 20 + 50 + 50 so it's actually worth about 1k new, not 1500, however if you buy a new 1k pc you won't have outdated parts, a better cpu and a better gpu (since there's a great sale on a dual fan atm)
Dylan Gutierrez
>8600k worse than 4790 No. But yeah that's why it's more expensive and why his intel build is kind of a shit recommendation. The ryzen one he posted would be much better value/$.
>b-but muh vidya gaems youtu.be/c3Y4E2ZePP8?t=63 youtu.be/-Efg5DojzeI?t=54 yes that's the 1600x, but that's the same chip as 1600. Just comes with a stock overclock, which every single 1600 can manage no problem. Plus it's also vs the 4790k
you pay 200$ to not have your parts break and to have better multithread support. If you don't care about multithread, which is stupid, you could probably pick up a ryzen 1200 or i3 8350k instead of the 1600 or 8600k and still go even with the 4690 if something breaks, you're on your own, there's no way that dude will help you out
Zachary Lee
An 8600K is way faster than being stuck with a 4790 (non K, you can't even overclock), not to mention mainstream Haswell only supports DDR3 memory. Please educate yourself before making a such a fool out of yourself.
Brandon Gutierrez
I have to hope he was talking about the ryzen 1600, not the 8600k
David Watson
So the i5 he linked is faster than the i7? What's the point of Intel labeling their shit i3, i5, i7 if the lower number is going to pass the higher numbers?
