>$80
hell no.

get a wii u pro controller and mayflash adapter

Worth is subjective, but it is a top shit controller. Seriously.

Don't buy it
youtube.com/watch?v=FOZ4EsGVBhM

I have one and use it almost exclusively, feels great and works great.

Mine doesn't do this at all.

It's pretty fucking great, so yeah.

>asymetrical
>$80
>nintendo low quality analog sticks
>nintendo shitty battery
fuck no

I heard that the pro controllers for splatoon/xenoblade are better build quality than the original pro controller. But it's hard to find the splatoon/xenoblade controller without paying $100+

Nintendo fanboys
>mine doesn't do that
>i-it's just a small amount that's defective...
Also Nintendo fanboys
>GUYS THE XENOBLADE PRO CONTROLLER FIXES THE D-PAD

it's OK, but honestly
>get a wii u pro controller and mayflash adapter
is the best advice in the thread.

Bluetooth radiation which can't be disabled. No thanks.

I got an open box deal at Best Buy and felt comfortable about the $65 I paid. Feels nice and honestly the ability to have it as an option makes it worth it to me.

Wii u pro is significantly worse so don't listen to this please.

no
its unironicly worse than the joy cons

Switch pro is significantly worse*
fixed that for you

shit feels like a 3d printed nightmare and no amount of HD rumble and amiibo gimmicks can justify its expensive price

why isn't Wii U Pro native compatible on Switch yet?

inb4 dpad autists

>shitty battery
Nice bait.

Name one Nintendo controller than didn't chew through battery life while in use or not.

why does it feel so awkward to use this for Splatoon 2? I tried it many times now and I just can't get used to it.

because Nintendo wants you to buy the expensive new $80 controller instead of a used $25 controller

anyways just get a mayflash adapter. wii u pro controller works great but it has no gyro so stick with the joycons for that.

Because that managed to be the 2nd worst controller of all time, right next to the Dual Shock.

you mean the switch controller

no, the only reason I bought it is because the joycons are the worst controllers ever made. Never had to buy the pro for the wii u because the gamepad is GOAT

>you can get 1-2 game for that price
>you can also get a decent arcade stick for that price

No. I meant what I said.
You ever notice that you can splot plebs a mile away by their punctuation?

/thread

>Some kid left one where I work
>Never came back for it
>Finders Keepers
Feelsgoodman

the pro controller has at least a 40 hour charge pretty sure the wii u one was 80. How is that PS4 controller battery life treating you?

Both Wii-U and Switch pro controllers

I use split joycons for mario and pad for zelda but the joycons work fine too.

I also never use that controller grip thing for the joycons, I think it sucks

It works really well and while the price can be a dealbreaker it feels better than other controllers, minus not having analog triggers

Save money and get a better controller at the same time.

Overcharged as fuck. $40 is more like it.

>Wii u pro is significantly worse
Found the person who doesn't know what he's talking about.

If you have the money then get it. If you don't then like the other post said just get a wii u pro + NS Magic. If you have a PS4 controller then you can use the gyro on that since may flash updated the adapter drivers.

>shit layout like a dual shock
>baby RGB lights like a dual shock
You can't make this shit up

Wii U pro controller is awful, they fucked up the whole right half of the controller and coated it baby plastic.

Name?

It's good, but I think Joycons with the grip do the job well enough

>Wii U pro controller is awful
Kill yourself. Buttons work greatly, it's comfortable to hold and the battery lasts for ages. That's all that matters.

>actually wanting to buy a controller when you can see an actual shit stain smeared on it
What the fuck is wrong with you?

8Bitdo NES30 Pro. There's an SNES model as well.

Ah, so the ones that cost a third of the consoles price $80. At least the fucking Wavebird was extremely cheap back in the time before Nintendo was packing in garbage controllers in order to purposely sell premium ones.

a wii u pro controller on reseller sites these days are no more than $40, i got mines from ebay for $25

>starts off with the kill yourself rather than leaving it right until the end of the post
>buttons work greatly
This is something we need now? For buttons to work?
>It's comfortable to hold
Half and half, it's got an ok shell but the ergos are fucked due to layout on the right half.

All in all: Consider downing a bucket of toothpaste.

Oh sorry, let me correct myself.
Kill yourself.

No because there are no games that require it.

Mario and zelda are casual enough and require motion controls enough that you should just use the joycons. Mario + rabbids, xenoblade, none of it requires real precision.

Then there's really nothing left worth buying a $80 controller for until maybe next year

>and coated it baby plastic
as opposed to switch's god awful 3d printed plastic?

Do not listen to the 8bitdo shills. The controllers are pure garbage and they malfunction more often than the switch Dpad

I just want to see more opinions around and I need the name to do so.
Thank you.

This poster is a retard

8bitdo nes30 pro
But it doesn't have gyro like the snes one.

>GUYS THE XENOBLADE PRO CONTROLLER FIXES THE D-PAD
God, I fell for that meme. Every single guy that said that can go fuck themselves.

Sorry that you have no response. Guess you just don't have what it takes.
Only on the joycons, have you held the pro controller? You're going to say yes, but if you're going to compare the two plastics, everyone who owns one will know you're lying too. I make no apologies for presuming this.

Does this work on the switch with no issues? If so I might cough up the cash for it.

Symmetrical top sticks are actually the best way to play.

If you had a controller you'd know it has a matte finish on the back and only the top is glossy.

The responses are pretty horrid. Not sure why anyone would advocate a shittier controller just because it's cheaper. If they fuck is even considering the Switch pro controller then he has the money. Do you have any actual complaints about the controller itself? Because I can name more for Wii u pro that no one seems to be mentioning. Crap analog placement, analog triggers, ugly shiny plastic.

I don't know if PCfags who just happened to cave on the wii u pro controller flood these threads or what.

>Symmetrical top sticks are actually the best way to play.
Wrong.
>If you had a controller you'd know it has a matte finish on the back and only the top is glossy.
I do. Still doesn't stop it from having god awful plastic.

I really enjoy it. Honestly one of their best controllers since the GameCube in my opinion.

Sorry bud but youre wrong. I've held every nintendo controller since the NES and the Wii U Pro layout is the pinnacle.

PS has terrible button and stick placement because they stuck with their modified SNES controller for years.

Xbox has the retarded asymetrical design because they just copied Sega and added a second stick.

Nintendo had it right with the Wii U. They only reverted to asymetrical because of casual retards stuck with the Xbox mentality and because of the 2 player joycon gimmick.

if you get a mayflash adapter it works great, just keep in mind that the wii u pro controller has no gyro controls so that may be a dealbreaker for some.

I never had a controller and am looking to buy one for platformers and dark souls ,what would you guys recommned?

Not only that but symmetrical sticks are perfect for first person shooters and third person action games (inb4 durr playing FPS on anything but PC).

The symmetry also helps with games like twin stick shooters and if a new Katamari comes out. Did you ever play Katamari on 360? It would be better without the retarded asymetrical set up.

Xbone or Wii U Pro.

No. You're beyond fucking wrong here, pal. Wii U Pro has been THEIR worst since the N64. It's just a budget dual shock and it's utter shite.
DS has always been awful, notice the pattern?
Xbox is fine, they took fucking ergonomics into consideration and it's worked for them.
Nintendo got it wrong with the Wii U. You want to say they reverted because of casual retards? Guess which console is selling better. That's right: The one with the non-shit controller.

The Wii U controller failed in almost everything that it set out to do.

I did, I actually really enjoyed it. Got to play the series for the first time without an awful controller.

Xbone. It's the definition of a video game controller.
Wii U Pro is glossy and feels plastic as shit just like all Nintendo hardware between Wii and Wii U eras.
