Asians are pretty bland looking to begin with, regardless of if they're male or female. They're known for being short too which helps. An asian male with masculine features such as broad shoulders, chiseled jaw, etc are not that common. Make up goes a long way for asians.

Actual professionals usually work hard to get jobs/money with their passions. Pianists want to practice well enough to sell out concerts or join esteemed orchestras and generally create meaningful art, all of which are socially acceptable aspirations. Playing a game really fast isn't, even these charity events happen so often and they can't support themselves because they make little money for themselves with it.

Any professional is usually a little weird or did a lot of drugs, but you have to look at the result.
