Protecting your vidya collection from theft

Recently had my house broken into and all my 126 Nintendo game cartridges stolen. Some of those games were practically antiques as they were out sold out so not even my insurance is ever going to bring them back...

How does Sup Forums protect their physical video game collection from theft?

>buying video games

serves you right for being a buyfag

Bump

Heres your (You)

Three bull terriers and a rifle.

By living in a civilized country

Automatic turrets

Which country doesn't have theft?

Wow man that sucks I'm sorry to hear that.

Put them not on display. That's all I can suggest.

Glorious Nippon is one desu.

Don't live in the ghetto or if you do shoot the burglar next time

North of Italy

If you're not trolling you best be calling your renter's or home owner's insurance. If you have your library recorded you can likely get that money back.

My house got broken into a few years ago, but all that was stolen was my PS3 and a bunch of loose change. I lucked out, because I have quite a few rare games that are worth far more than a PS3, not to mention the PS4 that is on the same shelf as the PS3. I did eventually get my PS3 back, but all my saves were gone and so was my copy of Project Diva F that was in the drive. It also smelled like cigarettes and the controller was gross.

if you live in america my answer is the same as always
"you guys have guns"
if you live somewhere else invest in a baseball bat.
have a nice day.

Sorry to hear that dude

My friend was in Paris and the first day he was there he got jumped and got the shit beaten out of him and robbed, the police just told him they can't help him.
He went to Europe 3 times to France, England and Italy each time he got jumped and robbed, he said fuck it he's never going to Europe again everyone's a nigger or paki, the streets are dirty and smell bad, there's thousands of homeless begging on the street, and everyone's a cunt
I've been to Europe once in 1999 and it fuckng sucked, there was 2 bathrooms in the house the toilet one and the bath tub one, and the sink was in the bathtub room so if I shit I had to go to a different room to wash my hands

It's kind of hard to shoot a gun or swing a bat if you aren't home to do so.

>all my 126 Nintendo game cartridges stolen
Chances are very high it is someone you know (maybe even very well). No breaking in nigger would ever give a shit about those. They are usually after electronics, money and bling bling.

so get a camera.
if you arn't going to protect your shit no one else is. cops are useless, country doesn't matter on that point.

Go find an appraiser who will do video games (some local game stores might be willing to if you're a common customer) or simply find the prices yourself and then get the total of everything together and take that amount to your insurance company and see if they'd be willing to cover it.

Not in northen Italy, your friend should have been in central or southern Italy

Simple. I don't have a physical game collection.

Embrace emulation.

Emulation niggers are worse than mac fags, your a casual scum go fuck off to Reddit

>not liking macaroni & cheese
What the fuck am I reading?

I didn't say KD retard, mac obviously means the computer

Is there a nice and polished program where i can register the games that I own?

Do you just want some sort of online database you can keep updated to see your collection at a glance? Or do you want to actually "register" them somehow?

>Emulation niggers are worse than mac fags
No one, absolutely NO one is worse than mac fags except for Nintendicksuckers maybe.

Oh yeah like Milan, bc that city is SOOOO safe :^)

Get a big dog or security cameras on the outside of your house to try and deter theft.

A database is enough

>How does Sup Forums protect their physical video game collection from theft?
By using Steam, since I'm not a fucking mongoloid who hoards worthless plastic.

>entrusting valve with your videogame collection

Yes, it's pretty safe desu, but if you go more at north like in Trentino or Veneto, those places even more safe

T: buttblasted apaghettifag

Sorry man- but what did you have beforehand?

Unless you play on the original hardware you're just some faggot trying to fit in like "gurl gamers XD"

By being sensible and not buying huge amounts of valueless plastic.

get better house security. improved locks, cheap surveillance camera, etc. even if you have cameras at your door and windows that's fake, it deters most thieves from breaking if

What's your address OP, I can send you my games

They're garbage unless they're in the original box

Just search Google for video game collection database or something and find whatever suits you best.

I know y'all will mock me (but who cares what losers on the internet think) but out of all the ones I found I liked GameFAQs database collection the best. I like seeing all the box arts lined up next to each other like this.

Lol, does your friend wanna meet? Ask him to bring all his shit, I'll be down that dark alley next to Boots.

It's funny because in 27 years I haven't been robbed once.

alright, I won't send them then

Maybe the niggers and pakis don't rob you because they don't rob their own

What program is that?

I like gamefaqs too

Believe what you like man, I'm full Caucasian.

How do you get it to look like that? Mine is so blurry and small

Shit I'll take them if OP's too good for them

>How does Sup Forums protect their physical video game collection from theft?
Get a big dog.

>dog pisses on your games

>S-shame at you eshop buying anons.
> Muh physical release is so comfy even uf i got to duckhunt for a year for title

>he can't train a dog
Small time.

But nippon steals your soul for the company

I dunno, they were just like that when I started using the site.

Having a gun at home causes fear to burglars and u much more likely to get killed

Steam will literary be useful if your country goes to shit and you become a homeless refugee. Even then you could sell yous steam account for some monies.

>dog dougs

Getting burglared is much more possible than valve bankrupting user . And with retro titles being sold so high burglars may wake up to old games value sometime.

>guy gets his house robbed so many times he sets up traps around the house with shotguns and spikes.
>burglars get killed
>he gets jail

How is this allowed?

It depends on your state, if there's no stand your ground law there's nothing you can do.
