It was unapologetic fanservice.
But at least it was good fanservice, unlike DS2.

It was Fan Service: The Game to the point where I rolled my eyes sometimes but overall I enjoyed it and thought it was way better than DaS2.

It was fun and that's literally the only thing that matters

Nah, it was garbage. PvE was alright, better than 2's at least but the invasions and PvP in general was unacceptable.

Sup Forums only hates it because it got awards and was voted best rpg. If everyone hated it then Sup Forums would be saying that its a masterpiece. It really isnt a bad game

DaS3 being very well liked by the vast majority of people in the souls community, even here on Sup Forums, made me realize that said community has absolutely no idea what the fuck they're talking about when it comes to anything souls related

Don't get me wrong, DaS 2 was a giant disappointment and it was nowhere near as good as DaS 1, DeS or BB were, but DaS 3 was just straight up shit from start to finish, and the fact that people enjoyed it absolutely blows my mind

DS3 is the best souls game

I came to the same exact conclusion. Only put like 45 hours into 3 and have 0 desire to buy the DLC.

I know the forest and burg will be unplayable due to gank squad and fightclub shit. I'm hoping the Kiln becomes a popular spot again. SL120 1V1 used to be super comfy there back in the pre-DLC days.
