Considering there are more of them than grains of sand on the beach, I don't really remember.

the one with the waves of instakill poison

or the one where you went from timer to timer without the moped

Jumprope
Banzai Bill chase
Road that disappears after a short time

anything to do with poison i fucking hate it i want it to go away

>the one where you went from timer to timer without the moped
I was about to post this one.
Now that I think on it more, though, I think the one from Dark Side with the poison-spitting Piranha Plants where you don't have Cappy is the one that made me rage the hardest.

the one where you have to talk to a rock statue

the one when you have to walk to it

the one when you have to talk to peach

the one when you have to walk around a circle

the fucking jump rope

this shit

>Do jump rope on the third try
>Still haven't finished volleyball

Fuck that shit

Iceburn Circuit S

The worst part was having to whip the camera around just right, so you can go straight.

For volleyball, switch to 2p mode, have mario stand outside the volleyball area, and just use cappy. The ball makes you bounce back a bit, but you're fast, and don't have to worry about momentum.

I don't understand why people have trouble with the volleyball. After about 40 you should be throwing Cappy to hit the ball every single time, which means you only need to be marginally close to where the ball actually lands.

This one wasn't nearly as bad once I realised all you need to do is consecutive long jumps.
For the majority of the game, I hadn't really been using them because they didn't have a strong sense of speed, or helped in getting any distance, but the gaps are specifically designed for long jumps.

All of them, hardest mario I ever played

That one where you have to do the scooter time trial without a scooter was fun.

I had to use the co-op mode for 55. Taking Notes with a Spinning Throw in browsers kingdom

For some reason I have trouble reliably doing that goddamn spin move and I felt autistic practicing flicking my wrist the right way.

Figuring out the coin cougher in the deep woods was by far the most time consuming. Spent hours wandering the area trying to figure out what to do

I loved that one, it teaches you how to build up speed and then keep momentum by staying in the air as long as possible.

The Wooded Kingdom Race, by fucking far. I had no issues with the other races, but this one took me over 2 hours to do.

The problem really is only that the moneybag enemy is so easy to miss in deep woods. Once you find it by accident, it's immediately obvious how you solve that puzzle.

How many coins you need to spit out takes the piss though.

Seriously? You couldn't see any big obvious shortcuts, or look at what the other racers were doing?

The fucking jumprope. I tried getting 100 jumps so many times but I never got further than 60. I do have the moon now because I did the glitch where you're able to get infinite jumps. Couldn't get it otherwise

if you spin the analog stick around and press Y you'll do a spin throw without the need for motion controls

It was that jump at the end, I could never really get it to work properly on the Pro Controller.

I ended up just going to the right at the start, going up near the secret flower garden, and jumping down to the finish line to beat it.

Not the hardest to obtain, but I had to look up the solution to "Very nice shot with the chain chomp." I spent forever crossing the poison and rocks with the chain chomps and trying all sorts of weird things only to find out there was a goddamn hidden fourth room with a barely noticeable entrance due to the fixed camera. I was pissed.

I don't get why everyone bitches about this when it's so short. Yes it will take several tries, but each try is less than a minute. And just so you know, IGN staff members were able to beat it within a few minutes. Getting 100 in volleyball is the worst because it takes so long and if you make one mistake you have to start all over.

I can't fathom this. It took me three tries to do the volleyball without even resorting to cheesing it with co-op mode, but it took me over an hour to get the one for jumping rope.

The long jump is a quick speed booster, it gives your regular and triple jumps momentum.

none of them kek
no but seriously the one in the 2D challenge in Mushroom Kingdom was pretty hard. I just wish there was like... fifty more of those. Odyssey 2: The Lost Levels, when? that might actually be a fun game.

I dunno why you wouldn't be able to get it to work on the Pro controller, all it takes is a long jump, followed by a cap dive.

This technique is explained in the Mario 64 costume area in Mushroom Kingdom.

The invisible poison road.
>Think I jump on a good spot, accidentally touch poison
>Finally get to the end, fuck up baiting the plant and killing it
>Finally get to the end, remember I need to back track and pick up the extra star

This. Ran through it so many times, wasn't used to how the game did it's hidden room shit, yet.

That shit gets way easier once you discover you can pick up and throw rocks.

Me too, that one drove me crazy. Pretty sure I looked up a video after 10 minutes and felt stupid afterward.

The grey pipe where you had to guide the sheep to the goal was pretty annoying.

The volleyball one

It's not hard, but the worst one in the game is the one where you shoot coins at a plant. It makes little sense and is boring.

Why does Lake Kingdom sound like an 8-bit Porno? youtube.com/watch?v=hem3UfHGUPs

My fathers full moon that he smothered my face with

It was such fun! I love my Nintendo Switch!

So it's easier to fap to that mermaid puss.

Where's this challenge at?

Dark side. The door right behind the odyssey.

>You can pick up and throw rocks
Excuse me.

You take the moon and you take the sun!

You have to hold down X or Y in the air to jump on Cappy

Obvious Answer: Darker Side of the Moon because it’s essentially Champion’s Road
Other answers: the invisible poison cap-less level in dark side and the 2D challenge stage in Mushroom Kingdom

Anyone else pretty excited for Luigi’s Balloon World?

Click down the right stick.

Thanks.

Seems like fun to challenge a friend back and forth with, but I hope people don't find exploits that make almost impossible balloon placements

>I could never really get it to work properly on the Pro Controller
The fuck? Do you even know how to cap jump?

The second invisible circle tracing on the moon. I still don't understand what they base the score off of because even when it looked near perfect it still wasn't enough.

RATA RATA

This one and playing volleyball legit, no 2P mode.

Just crouch walk on the ice and use the goal as a halfway mark for your second line. Makes it 100x easier.

Jumprope. If I hadn't spent an hour learning how to obtain sweet camera and levitation bliss from mr parrot, I'd still be trying it today. 999 moons but the bitch was the 1.

What costumes are you using? I've ended up using Bowser's suit mostly.

Yes

I don't even think I died to this once. What exactly was so hard for you guys?
The one that got me the most was either Mushroom Kingdom 2D or the scooter level on Dark Side.

Currently rocking skelemario with skelekoopa head hat.

is everyone minds erase out that 100 volleyball moon. each time you fuck up it start so fucking slow too then it is asshole hard by 50.

Skeleton suit and crown. Or boxers and sombrero.

The one you get for having fun with the game.

Same

>or the one where you went from timer to timer without the moped
That one. How hellish it was.

Did poison waves without the frog my first try, and moped-less was just shaking the controller while rolling.

>What exactly was so hard for you guys?
The weird hitbox on the big piranha plants
Sometimes I'd kill them but also get hurt

Getting 80 points on an invisible Goomba face.

Oh yeah that. I think I jumped off the ledge that the moon was on to get above them.
Skeleton costume with a variety of hats, namely cowboy hat, sombrero, and pirate hat.

>finally get the rhythm down for the jump rope
>hit 100
>moon jumps out of the ground and scares me
>I mess up

I mean, I got the moon which is what matters, but I hate doing the bare minimum. I could've kept going.

>What was hard
Like I said, you think you land on the safety of the road but just barely clip the poison. Also as mentions, the hitbox on the piranha's needs to be precisely hit, otherwise you'll hurt yourself. I would get overconfident and jump too early for the kill.

What’s the hardest moon in the game to find?

T. J Henry Anderson

youtu.be/rnjo5a8dJC4

...

Are you talking about the one in Steam Gardens or Dark Side? The Dark Side one without Cappy forces you to go slow so you don't get hit in the sludge since you can't clear them or bounce on cappy, but also forces you to go fast since the invisible floor is getting covered in poison all the time by the Pirahna Plants.

Probably one of the more obscure art puzzles. I'm thinking of the one in the desert where you had to realize you were supposed to go from the koopa all the way to the edge of the level to find the spot in the picture.

probably the "KEEP" picture from Seaside Kingdom or Lost Kingdom picture in Dark Side one.
I legitimately thought there was a assortment of platforms that formed the word "KEEP", I didnt expect it to be on the literal word in the Metro Kingdom. For the Lost Kingdom one, I searched everywhere in the wrong kingdom, in Tostarena because I thought there was a patch of sand that was darker than everything else. That was my biggest blunder.

Any of those damn Koopa races.

...

>not KEEP

I only had problem with 3 coins in tostarena, I traversed the map several times on different days and they were nowhere to be seen, then I went to the top of the inverted pyramid, turned around the camera and they were there.

KEEP's moon position is more explicitly shown.

Found with Wooded Kingdom Art and GameFAQs was the hardest.

Koopa races are easy IF you master all of the combo moves.

All Koopa related moons are great user, if you really can't into mario just follow the golden turtle he fucks up always once, that's your chance to beat him.

Just did that one. Exactly what you expect it to be.

>being this shit at Mario

This one didn't seem like it was tricky at all, just lining it up was a little bit annoying.

The FUCKING 2D well level in the Mushroom Kingdom. Jesus fucking christ. Whoever designed that is a sadist.

This one, time your long jump poorly and you would slam face first into the next pillar.

No kidding, it took me many deaths to get the hang of the changed controls on the rotating bits.

None. I don't play baby games.

Metal Mario and 64

>Famicom Hat + Scientist Outfit for 90s Mario
>Beret + Explorer's Uniform for Ocelot
>Crown + Gold Body for LOOK CLOSER LENNY
Those have been my main costumes that I've been swapping in and out occasionally

...

It's not the ice one it's the moon one, and I had no trouble tracing the line but for some reason I still got a lower score. Plus I already beat it a long time ago.

Explorer + Cowboy hat

Volleyball is easy as fuck if you switch to 2 player mode and just move Cappy around.
