This is my first Dissidia game and I really hate the way it feels to play. Does anybody else feel that way? Something about pressing X and having to fly over to the guy you knocked back doesn't feel right. It's like Xenoverse which I also didn't care for.

Yeah, it feels worse than the previous Dissidia games to me in that regard. Feel like I'm constantly chasing. There's a lot less footsies and direct contact maybe because its 3v3. It's more about zoning and chasing.

Did anyone else love to do Tifa vs Prishe matches? I did it on the Phantom Train all the time, just anime fighting and roudhouse kicking Prishe through a row of chairs into the carriage interior wall.

I wouldn't be a fan of either of those two choices. In that case, I'd rather have Pirshe.

It's like you hit a guy and then they go flying, and if there's nobody else by you, you fly to fight some more. There's a lot of breaks in the action, but at the same time fights become giant clusterfucks. It's not really adrenaline pumping or anything, it's more like trying to figure out what the fuck is happening and hoping you don't die.

Almost everyone hates how they made Circle Jump with no way to change it, but you know you can cancel the end of attacks with dash to continue pressure and combo off of wall rushes right? I don't know who you're playing as but you can use the stage and your team to your advantage to corner people. If someone is running away from you you can just target someone else.
There's still plenty of footsies between melee characters, I feel like the new dodges work better for it as well.

I think once you get to higher tiers and play with better players, it stops being about this chasing and more about setting it up so that, when you do hit someone, someone else is there to capitalize on it. But in the lower tiers, its kinda shit because people haven't figured out how to coordinate well.

It's just a matter of accent since it's a real name. I use Zi-dan and still do. Though while I'm on the subject nothing will stop me from using Tide-us because it's just better and more appropriate in just about every way, and there's more than enough reasonable doubt with how the Teedus pronunciation came about and how it's been pronounced differently in other games.
Just gotta git gud then. Dashing without holding a direction lets you dash directly at the enemy, if that makes things easier. Zidane's air up brave attack is extremely good if you can land it though, it's one of the few attacks that dunk the enemy straight down.
The only reason they use "Teedus" is because his Japanese name is Teeda, which is supposed to mean or reference the sun in nippon, to give him a connection with Yuna aka the moon. James Arnold Taylor actually did a video talking about the origin where he basically says that when moments before they were going to show an announcement trailer for the game, they got a random local Japanese translator to do the voiceover in English.
