Yet another humanoid edgelord boss

yet another humanoid edgelord boss
bravo miyazaki

I clapped when I saw it.

Meme boss in terms of difficulty. He's all about pattern recognition; it's piss-easy when you figure it out.

you just described every soulsborne boss

i like his hat
thats every boss, lmao

no you didn't

>bleeds you

Still don't understand how he's the first born of Gwyn

Champion Gundyr is more difficult

He's the most difficult boss in the vanilla game.

Why did he even join the dragons, anyways? Did he just feel bad for them?

nah, pontiff sulyvahn is the most hard

Lmao really? He's a good boss but not even top three hardest

whats not to understand
he allied with dragons after warring with them
gwyn banished him from anor londo for turning traitor
its no surprise he is in archdragon peak

I have to say, my first time through this game, I played co-op with a friend.

This fight in particular was probably one of the funniest experiences I've ever had.

>everybody allies with the dragons when they were allied with the gods first

What did they mean by this

fucking scalies

In terms of shit getting real and a roadblock, Sully wears that particular crown due to his non stop fucking moves.

So like, what's the deal with this Dancer chick? Is she the casual filter or what? Second phase is pure evil.

I've literally never died to Dancer except for the time I tried beating her before Vordt.

If he has more speed like Champ.
The fight should be more intimidating.

are you for real? I absolutely rocked his shit on my first go but nameless curb-stomped me

>tfw I cheesed him with the dragonslayer's
100% thunder resist shield.

I'm having a lot of trouble with her second phase, or rather the last 3/4's of her fight. I mean she loses the 100% one hit kill attack when she grabs the second sword, but replaces it with an onslaught and far less downtime.
I've only managed 3/4 of her health at best, with many Estus gone.
Pontiff was a little hectic, but he's not as insane or combo savvy as this chick.

I want to like this boss but holy shit does it get held back. First stage is the single most disappointing boss experience I've had in a Soulsborne game thanks to that fucking camera. Second stage feels like they tried to make him feel adaptive and punishing like Gundyr or Gascoigne, but he's just a handful of basic, spammy moves that need to use massive damage to compensate for being so simple and exploitable. Fuck his hitbox too, taking full damage from the base of a polearm just shows poor design overall.

So im bout to get ds3 next week in the mail. Can i pget away playing this shit aggressively like bloodborne or should i hug my goddamn shield like dark/demons?
I only played bb, demons, and dark 1 years ago if that helps.

I'm just so used to dodging through patterns at this point that I just circle her while rolling and almost never get hit. Try using a faster weapon and relying on the streaks of her weapons as a visual que to dodge

>camera
Why do some people who play these games forget that locking on is an option, not a requirement? You can lock and unlock at will.

Fuck this cunt on ng++, almost blocked my path to the platinum. Finally beat him when I switched from the BKS to the BKGS.

I don't seem to even have enough stamina to dodge her combo attacks with enough left to attack her (at least not without leaving myself wide open for the next batch) and I can't seem to find a safe area to stick to in the second phase like you've got with Pontiff's offswings. Blocking doesn't even remotely help either.
I tried ranged pyromancy too which hits significantly higher, but she's quite good at closing the gap with more attacks.

I guess I just suck.

play aggressive, use shields to parry if you want

You can in some cases, but the combat is fucked compared to Bloodborne since they needed to make shields not worthless. You'll probably find yourself turtling a Med shield once in a while.

And believe me it's going to piss you off. A LOT of enemies feel ripped straight from Bloodborne but the game only gives you a handycapped combat system to deal with them. Dogs are the most egregious example, being obviously not designed for the combat system and even punishing you for trying to use said system to it's full potential. Sentient, trained knights will still walk in a straight line to you, weapon down and dumbfaced, as you pour arrows into their skulls. Stupid fucking dogs though? They will dodge any ranged attempt you make to hit them at ranged and run up to stagger you because poise is somehiw WORSE in DaSIII than it is in BB

Also parrying is fucked, being able to parry beasts and such in BB was a fucking godsend and its 100% absent in DaSIII. Match that with the fucking insult that parry frames are STILL static and you're going to tilt at this game's garbage combat

I play the majority of Souls games unlucked at the point abd I was still blown away at how inexcusably terrible the camera was for that stage. By all logic being able to lock on the the only thing that you are meant to hit on the boss, a boss that moves around and obly offers brief windows of attack, should benefit the player, not punish them

You'll get there pal. Try great combustion instead of melee, you might like it

If NK stayed in Anor londo, could he stop Gael’s rampage?

>Used CE to make everything dark
