I had the same mouse. Shit was fucking awful and broke after only 1 year of use.
Get G502. It's constantly on sale at BB online/in store for $29.99
>tfw still using the MX revolution and its hardly turning on anymore
Can't really be bothered to buy a new one until it dies completely
Personally use a Corsair M65 pro rgb, and i can't fault it. They've recently dropped in price too.
G303, Zowie FK1, G903 if you want wireless
Unironically Razer DeathAdder (either the 2013 or the newest version). Decent mouse for larger hands, if you don't mind gaymer aesthetic.
I've been using that for three or four years by now. It's a trooper; shame yours is running down.
MX Master 2S
Logitech G402. G502 if you want some extraneous features.
that new mouse wheel is great
M100
Yep, it's easy to get into the habit of using it and then expecting any other mouse I use to do the same, only to feel disappointment
>30 bucks
What the fuck I ordered my g502 for almost $100 here in Australia a few months ago
I wished the still made the mcg revolution. There's nothing else with a thumb wheel and a middle mouse wheel that auto changes between clicky and smooth scrolling depending on how hard you flick it. Why did Logitech get rid of the auto scroll mode change in all subsequent models?
Hope it doesnt break as easy as the predecessor ones.
Could return them twice, but still, really annoying.
>mx revolution
...
this
Yeah thats the reason I'm having a hard time letting go. Its just perfect for scrolling.
The auto scroll mode change was the thing that made me buy the mx revolution twice after my first one broke. I love mapping a key that I would have to sometimes have to spam in a game to the wheel and just flicking that thing so it keeps spinning for 10 seconds.
depends, do you want to play fps get a deathadder or just get a good overall mouse like the g502
Why did they go backwards? All the new logitech mice you have to manually change the scroll mode with a button.
Jesus what a great deal
Even at $90+ I consider it a good buy
i feel bad for you lads in kangarooland... everything's marked up 1000%
where did you get this from?
best buy. it's on sale a LOT. set up a deal alert through slickdeals.net and it'll let you know
Does the aesthetic matter?
what kinda gaming are you going to be doing?
what size are your hands?
palm grip or claw?
do you prefer wireless?
are you sent into an autistic screeching rage when the center of mass is in the wrong place?
do you like light or heavy mice?
budget?
my all time favorite mouse is the Logitech G9, but it's not being produced anymore and its price has gone up a fair bit. I'm using the G900 now and everything about it is perfect apart from the shape, the center of mass is also a little bit too far to the front for my personal liking but it's not really an issue. it's the first wireless mouse I've actually liked.
Anyone have opinions on the steelseries rival 300 / 700 ?
meme company like razer.
So I'm new to PC gaming, and have ordered in a pretty powerful gaming PC with 2 monitors (spending over £2G) but my dad insisted to get a very cheap gaming mouse and keyboard for £15. For someone who has never really played PC gaming in a long while, is it worth investing in mechanical keyboards and "expensive" gaming mouse?
Does the aesthetic matter?
>not really
what kinda gaming are you going to be doing?
>fps mainly
what size are your hands?
>medium, slightly smaller
palm grip or claw?
>palm
do you prefer wireless?
>don't really care, does it make that much of a difference?
are you sent into an autistic screeching rage when the center of mass is in the wrong place?
>fairly new to pc gaming, idk.
do you like light or heavy mice?
>dont care
budget?
>under $100 for sure
mech keyboards feel good and is better for your hand posture. expensive gaming mouse? no. just use the g502 i posted a while ago. it's cheap, great, and has weights too.
so what, its just logitech only?
Their new mice seem pretty average and the 502 looks crap
$50 on Amazon, might must bite the bullet to get it asap.
thanks user
not him but zowie and logitech sensors are the best around, every other company is behind
>He uses wireless hardware
Don't get a chinese offbrand, just don't.
I'm warning you now to save some pain later. Use a black mousepad with a laser directed mouse. You'll thank your god jesus or whatever later.
>Use a black mousepad with a laser directed mouse. You'll thank your god jesus or whatever later.
Care to explain this? Im using a shitty USMC mouse pad, it feels like it has a plastic top.
I've ganked way too many twat waffles on bluetooth for it to be a bad piece of hardware. Now go eat ten adderall and fuck your mother.
>laser mouse
I prefer something with a little grip. Do what you want. You want something that never ridirects the laser, at all. A pure black or white pad is what you want. Use a piece of carpet though I don't give a shit.
Track balls are for idiots.
and you know nothing about mice
...
How's the g703? Any good deals on it?
Rival 300 is the best mouse I've used but the rubber side grips wear off in about 2 years. Still, the shape is so nice I've owned two. The last one's side grip was starting to flake off too much so I bought a Rival 700 last week (would just have gotten another 300 but the 700 was on a -50% sale). The rumble feature and Gameboy-tier OLED screen are useless, shape is slightly smaller, it has sharper edges and is heavier than the 300. Otherwise decent but the clicks feel significantly worse than the 300's, with distracting tactile feedback.
Rival 300 4.5/5
Rival 700 3.5/5
just get a g903, a little bit more expensive if you get a deal, but superior in every way
Probably has $60 shipping to Australia. Almost every other country offers free postage, or at most $10 to $15.
But shit from america automatically adds on $20+ at a minimum
This. Can't go wrong with the G502. Avoid Razer and Corsair as their mice are fucking garbage.
Thanks for the info, I really like the look of the 700 and probably wouldnt even remember I had a screen on it, if they made that mouse with no screen I'd probably get that version. My old G15 keyboard had a screen I never used too.
I currently have a Logitech g9x but after years I cant change the DPS up anymore so I want something new to repalce it.
Right now Im looking at Logitech g502/g703, Rival 300/500/700
The 700 is a bit out of my price range though, trying to keep it below $100AU
Also if anyone wants to see the most popular and "best value" PC shop prices in Australia
You can also, look for the GPro and the G303. They both use the same sensor as the G502
alright homie, I've got a site you should check out with a listing of mice with flawless sensors, it also lists the dimensions, weight.
on-winning.com
>do you prefer wireless?
>>don't really care, does it make that much of a difference?
wireless mice will tend to be a little heavier, though there are wireless mice out there that are very light, upside is that they don't have a wire attached to it, some mice have godawful rubbery wires that will subtly "catch" on your table surface not to mention that wires can get stuck in obstacles on your table. Obviously wireless mice will run out of power at some point which is an annoyance (can be mitigated with a wireless charging mousepad) and wireless mice tend to have more latency than wired, logitech's recent "lightspeed" wireless mice are an exception.
Good luck figuring out what mouse you want to go for.
buy a g400
Mionix Castor
What's wrong with Corsair mice? I've never seen a criticism that isn't aesthetic/ergonomic preference.
>Does the aesthetic matter?
no
>what kinda gaming are you going to be doing?
either fps or old shit
>what size are your hands?
smedium, my current mouse is small as shit M325c
>palm grip or claw?
palm used to be claw
>do you prefer wireless?
yes
>are you sent into an autistic screeching rage when the center of mass is in the wrong place?
what
>do you like light or heavy mice?
some good weight
>budget?
under $50
as someone who has never owned a mechanical keyboard before, should I be getting a specific one if I'm going to be gaming on it primarily?
my G400 shit the bed yesterday so I'm also looking and it fucking sucks.
G403 costs like 70e where I live when I bought G400 for around 30e back in the day.
so I'm just going with G102, at least it's a price equivalent. the only other valid option I found was G203 but I see no difference between that and 102 except a 5e bump in price. and I could buy three beers with that money.
everything else in logitech's current roster is either overpriced or ricer shit.
we got a fucking smart guy here
I just got this. It's a really comfortable mouse. Highly recommended
you should be getting a specific one, but not a gaming one, for fucks sake, either get good chinkshit like Ducky or some other, or spend more and get a high quality one that will last you for a long long time, like Das 4
Educate yourself on switches before shelling out money on them
I have used lots of mice over the years. My preference order is:
G100s (with weight removed)
G403
GPro
EC1
Lua
Kinzu
WMO 1.1a
Abyssus v1
MX518
Kana
Sensei
The others I have used are not even worth mentioning.
logitech g400s
impossible to find anymore
This. G502 is nice and not very expensive. The scroll unlock button is actually pretty neat sometimes too.
Contact logitech and you'll probably get a brand new mouse, my g500s died recently and they sent me a g502 for nothing.
Recently my deathadder stopped working and although I hate razer I like how the deathadder feels in my hand. So, I switched to the Corsair glaive and I have to say it's my favorite mouse so far with nice rgb lightning and customization.
I need a big mouse shaped like this.
My hands are xl glove size and I fingertip grip this mouse. In 7 years I've had 2 of these but the sensor is ducked and I'm looking at the g502 but don't know if its big enough.
