Zelda - Walkthrough

With the exception of breath of the wild, has anyone actually been able to beat an entire zelda game without looking at guides?

Of course. I've never used a walkthrough for any Zelda game. A buddy of mine helped me out with where to go next in Zelda II once though.

Links Awakening

For 100%, no, don't think so. Just beating the game, though, never.

I meant that just for beating the game I'd never look at a guide, they aren't that difficult.

That counts as guide though. There are these fucking strange tricks that I doubt any human can figure out themselves. The two most extreme examples I remember are when you are supposed to shoot an arrow towards the sun at sunrise to unlock the light arrows in oot and when you are supposed to teleport this one specific fire rock in twilight princess to free the zoras.

Yes. Only time I used a guide was to get through the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time as a kid - once.

Did you really shoot an arrow towards the sun, at sunrise, on a specific island in Hylia lake?

I only needed one for Link's Awakening and only because I lost interest during the trading sequence and wanted to get it done with
People say finding triforce pieces in Windwaker was tedious, yet no one brings the exact same thing in LA

Finished a Link between Worlds a few months ago guide free. Feels good man.

Is it any good though? I haven't played it yet.

It's essentially A Link to the Past part 2. If you enjoyed LttP back in the day, this is just as good. some say better. Either way, it's a breath of fresh air from the 3D zeldas.

There's a sign that suggests that you do that, on the ONLY island in Hylia Lake, which you are automatically placed on after you beat the Water Temple, when the game is automatically at sunrise, to get an item that is not actually required to beat the game.

All while ignoring the more asinine Din's Fire, which is only necessary once, long after you've been given the hint to find it. That being said, I never struggled because I didn't miss Din's Fire, but its certainly more infuriating than the fucking Fire Arrow.

My memory is shit so I don’t remembe whether or not I used a guide for a lot of them, but I’m almost certain I didn’t need a guide at all for Wind Waker.

*Just to beat. But I did use a guide for a side quest or two.

I usually don't need a guide to beat Zelda games but yeah to 100%. Only game I 100%d without referring to a guide for mop-up was Link's Awakening.

Yes, all of them. It's not that hard you fucking pleb

Windwaker, twilight princess, skyward sword.
I only used the guides as a a child because I had them there. The games aren't difficult per se. Oh yeah, like every single gameboy game too.

It is a puzzle game,
When you look at a guide you are defeating the purpose of the game as you are not solving a puzzle, you are simply fallowing instructions.
You are removing the challenge and thus the reward.

It is tantamount to using god mode in an action game.
You are removing the possibility of a game over and thus any and all requirement of any type of skill necessary to advance.

OOT/MM Link is best Link. He just looks cool. BOth his young version and Adult version. Sequel to OOT/MM with same Link when?

But I'm a brainlet. What do you expect me to do if I can't solve a puzzle?

Fuck off wannabe hipster, tons of old school adventure games had fucking nonsensical puzzles, if you really want to make me believe that you always solved everything by yourself without ever getting stuck you are only confirming that this board is filled with lying boasting idiots.
