This is such a brilliant idea.
It will sell like hot cakes, mark my words.
Fucking Nintendo. They always do something unimaginable.

I don't think it's a bad idea, but many "copies" of the cardboard shit are in each kit? If only one I'd be concerned.
It's fucking cardboard and they're aiming it at kids, how durable can it really be?
One Copy. Robo-kit is $80.
I just want to see the videos of grown men with cardboard robot armor
Hm..
This better be some moving boxes-tier cardboard.
Not with that kind of price tag.
>70 dollars
No it ain't.
Autism over 9000
I'm sure it's very high quality, very sturdy
im shook by how amazing this shit actually is
i wanted to hate but damn
Sup Forums's gonna shitpost itself to death now, but this would've been cool as hell when I was 10 years old.
technical rather cool
but like they told us, it's more for children
And it's it own separate package too. This shit is gonna flop.
Before the annoucnement there were plenty of:
>Wow, what cheap plastic crap is Nintendo going to try and make people buy now?
Little did they know.
How much will Nintendo charge for cardboard?
It's as durable as kids make it out to be.
It won't last even a day.
is this the big leak every nintendo except NA is talking about?
I don't even know if this is just ironic or an actual out of touch marketer. What's even real anymore.
>implying this isn't fucking awesome
So what's the lowdown on this?
Sonyggs on suicide watch
Labo will rule the world
I was more excited when I thought Labo was the name of an app or game that allowed you to program shit for the Joycons and THEN you go design some cardboard or other physical device to work with the program. Sadly, that aspect is only locked to Nintendo's side.
The idea is still gold though. Video really inspired the idea of messing with joycons.
let me know when sony comes out with some shit like this
>implying it's bad
kys
I guess Toy-Con 02 is the robot game on it's own while 01 is all the smaller things?
what was that house they kept showing off even meant to be for? just a new 'housing' for the Switch?
if this is successful you wont have to wait long
>Sony Plasstation is announced next month
I wonder how this piano thing works
At this point i cant tell if this is falseflagging or Nintendorks are beyond saving
>4/20
Go away shills, nobody should pay $70 for cardboard and tech demos.
Go back, OP.
post more, please
It's going to be hard for them to lose money on selling cardboard.
Uses the IR scanner on the right Joycon to tell what keys are up or down
> just a new 'housing' for the Switch?
lmao. I want to know what box house does, too. The robot thing looks fun though. Although, they should just drop the fucking cardboard gimmick for games like these sans the VR goggles, and start doing VR. I honestly expected them to when they first showed off joycon last year.
it's probably a little of both, but there is some genuine intrigue, at least from me, I'm wondering where they're gonna go with this, if anywhere, I don't think I'll be buying it myself, though.
That is really fucking cool. If I was a kid I'd be all over that shit.
That piano one got me good though. Wouldn't mind giving it a go if it wasn't 70 fucking dollars jesus fuck
Still the robot one is way too expensive unless that's a full full game
they will (and I will) and you know what? with your shitposting, you can't do anything about it
cry more, braindead retard
I thought this was pretty neat. Most defiantly picking it up for my wife’s son
Thanks man that makes sense
>If I were a kid I'd like it
no you wouldn't
actually think back when you were excited for cardbox diy kits
because those things always existed
>I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THIS
wew
>Toy Con
>80 bucks
>For cardboard
>If you fuck it up you're done for
>Uses materials easily broken
>Little Billy spills his water on his 80 dollar cardboard piano
>It's now ruined
At 80 bucks this is brutal
it's gimmicky but it's nintendo
the cardboard sets are probably going to be like 5-20$ each depending on the complexity, these prices include the game (though I wonder how the fuck the game is supposed to work without all the other kits)
kids back in the day couldn't attach their portable home console to a cardbox diy kit tho
what are you getting at
It must be a full game if they are charging 80 bucks, Set 1 is 70 and it comes with multiple things. Miyamoto has been making Project Giant Robot since the Wii U launched, i hope he made an actual game instead of a 5 minute demo.
what is that thing
I want one
>Chinese manufacturers are already creating low prices off copy Labo kits at this moment
YOU WOULDNT PIRATE CARDBOARD?
Back then we didn't have portable computers and video game systems.
there were countless games with gimmicky attachments around
NO TODD NO. YOU'VE PORTED IT ENOUGH
They'll probably sell individual replacement boards on the official website fairly cheap, since you can't use them without the software.
THE VULCAN 300!
what are you, 50?
Reminder: nintendo sold an empty cardboard box last year for ten dollars.
Yes, of course they always do something unimaginable.
I mean, 70 bucks for cardboard? I LACK THE ABILITY AND WILLPOWER TO MAKE THIS SHIT UP
I imagine him at a table sweating trying to find a way to make skyrim work on a cardboard
The piano, house, rod, rc car, and 1 other is packaged together for $70. The Robo Kit is on its own for $80.
I predict scalper/10 sales for sure
It'll sell like hot cakes because Nintendo loyalty will sell fucking anything. They managed to sell a creation kit for full price. They managed to (re)sell a console dead for decades, with the power that any home computer can emulate for free. I don't even care about console wars but Nintendo wins because its target audience remains Children no matter how old they get.
I wanna go back to plastic
I think its a Dr Who monster from an episode where fat turns into monsters or something like that
Stop posting concerned parent
When first see this I was thinking to be like strong bad using cardboard all the time.
Not every kid is a dumb lardass than you are/were
legitimate hearty chuckle
how are people on Sup Forums so stupid. It comes with a game. So the cardboard is probably 20 dollars.
Don't fucking kid yourself faggot. I know you're going to get it anyway. You will literally buy shit if Nintendo put it's logo on it.
I'm not a parent. This is just a thought that crossed my mind.
When I was first seeing this I thought Nintendo was gonna be selling cardboard kits for making Switch accessories like joycon grips and stands for the tablet and such.
...
I can play pretend with cardboard lying around the house for free. What does this offer that I can't do with my imagination and friends?
I would, life in the early 90s was full of toys that looked more fun in commercials till you played with it.
>a creation kit for full price
as opposed to what? Do you even know how expensive those are now?
Showed it to my Mom and she instantly thought it was awesome
Maybe if y'all didn't disappoint your mothers you would realize this is a great product, too
I dont even own a Switch senpai
Keep posting
The meme potential for this is off the charts. Let's just wait for youtube footage, the Nintendo soy meme will reach new heights.
The Nintendo audience is just dumb enough to buy it. Look how well the Switch sold.
Nintendo probably have a replacement service set up.
...
Nintendo Labo more like Nintendo we gonna make a cardboard game and you're still gonna give us money than an actual full game, you fucking weebs
>"T-Todd please, we're out of cardboard boxes to use"
>"NO! I MUST FIND A WAY TO USE THIS, I MUST!"
>Todd furiously begins jamming a copy of Skyrim through a shattered piece of cardboard
>I don't even care about console wars but Nintendo wins because its target audience remains Children no matter how old they get.
All video game consumers are children.
It comes with a game, you fucking retards.
For like half an hour and then even a 10 year old would get bored with this shit. Just buy the kid legos
I guess it's a good idea, but do kids like stuff like this anymore?
Its fucking free, has been for years. The only difference is everyone can produce now.
Jesus my sides
You just know hes working on a cardboard sword and shield rn
oh, so i'm only paying $30 for cardboard then.
no wait, that's still a terrible idea.
nobody should do anything, but that doesn't stop them lol.
Also, Sup Forums is in the minority of the gaming world, and Sup Forums is in the minority of Sup Forums. Ain't nothing we can do, kiddos.
I don't even play videogames so why am I on Sup Forums????
Joy-cons unironically have some of the coolest fucking tech. That you can just slot them in to these things and get that feedback is insane. I really hope we get some specialized ones for actual games later down the road
I bet you purchased 1,2,switch for full price
Do you have any idea how insanely expensive lego is? But yea, Lego is better. Still, this looks like a lot of fun for kids.
>Reggie gets a phone call in the middle of the night
>He checks the phone and sees that its Todd Howard.
> Why are you calling me in the middle of the night Todd?
>LET ME PORT SKYRIM TO THE CARDBOARD REGGIE. I THINK I FOUND A WAY, NANOBOTS PROJECTING MOVING IMAGES ON THE BOTTOM
I can't wait for PlayStation PAPO, a completely fun and original idea from Sony. DO NOT STEAL
Kids like what they're taught to like.
If parents give their kids a phone at age 6 like some are doing, then no they won't.
But a shit-ton of parents would rather get their kids something practical and real, and this will be a hit with them.
And as a kid I purchased many of those gimmicky attachment toys, what are you going on about?
