anyone read moon runes here?

Is it a patch or is it the january expansion pass thingy?

it adds new quests for season pass buyers and bugfixes for the game

Patch and enables the first part of the pass

no shit

New Game+ Too?

Unfortunately, no NG+. They did say Early into the year, not January specifically. So I guess we can expect it before Spring at least.

CARDBOARD SUPPORT CONFIRMED?

are they really just adding like 5 or so generic quests?

To start with. Remember this DLC isn't a one and done, it starts now and we get more for every update. It's certainly a little more skimpy to start with then I thought they would do though.

>Extra quests in a game where quests add virtually nothing of value. Wake me up with new game+ and new blades updates

Fuck the guys in charge of the site for posting it as an image.

My moon is extremely shit, so I'm not doing anything with extensive kanji (Mainly the first one)

The second one:
- Driver *something* Set 2
10 Rare Cores
1 "Epic" Core Crystal (Legendary?)
1 Overdrive Protocol

- Tora's Favorite Thing (Juicy...Samo? x3)
- Poppy Alpha's favorite thing. (PuchiPuchi Juice x3)
- Some kind of driver accessory (Auto Balancer x1)

It really isn't much of anything. It's going to be five extra quests in chapters 2, 3, 5, 7 and 10. The rewards we get from these quests will probably be really good stuff though, certainly something you would want to do on a fresh run. At least we will get more quests every time they throw out a DLC.

Thank you, kind anons.

Something to change up NG+ then.

Close, it's Juicy Samod

Unless they're giving master mods, I don't think there's anything they can give that would be worth it.

The chapter 10 quest, I would expect some level 6 Aux cores. The other quests I can see some higher level accessories that you would have to wait another chapter or two to get, or maybe high level aux cores or core chips. Affinity Max attack V in chapter 5 would be pretty big.

5 new quests? THAT'S FUCKING IT? WOW! Thank god I didn't buy the DLC pass. What a fucking waste. Also shitty consumable items.

>new quest in chapter 10
wait what?

when are they going to fix the fucking drop rates?
ive gotten more rare blades from common cores than rare cores.

If it's by design, they don't fix it.
The only way I can see it not being by design is if they intended for the drop rate to be consistent,

Have you also used more common than rare crystals?

5 quests for now. More to come later in every patch. Who knows if it's five quests every time or not. Still not worth it for now, hopefully the rare blade in spring is nice.

Side quests aren't canon. Apparently the quest has to do with Troop movement though.

What are the summaries for the other 5 quests?

I mean, I'll be down for these quests if they're long-form and tell interesting stories

why would they even bother adding them if they were just 2-step fetch shit
have a little faith

>If it's by design, they don't fix it.
yeah and im sure the original map system was by design as well.

i knew someone was going to bring this up and no. i spent time only farming rare cores and got jack shit out of them.

>long term

HAHAHAHA. Not really no.

nintendoeverything.com/xenoblade-chronicles-2-version-1-2-0-new-quests-pack-out-this-week/

Here are the quest names. Nothing about these is going to be long. They are meant to be done when you are just going through the game normally.

You know all the different cores do is affect base stats and affinity chart yea? The increase in rare blade drop rate is maybe .5-1% more per core type

>Still no NG+

Only story quests were getting are in spring with the new story dlc

It's pretty evident that they wanted the chance to get a Rare blade to be directly proportional to the amount of Rare blades still in the pool, that's why at the start of the game is easy to get your first Rare from a few common crystals, but your last Rare blade will be much harder.

>i knew someone was going to bring this up and no. i spent time only farming rare cores and got jack shit out of them.
Shouldn't you be farming legendary cores instead, or are you not at the end game already? If you're not there yet you should probably not bother farming cores, if you progress the game doing everything you should beat the game with almost all if not all Rare blades, I was missing only Floren and I stopped using common cores at like chapter 5.

>nintendoeverything.com/xenoblade-chronicles-2-version-1-2-0-new-quests-pack-out-this-week/
Well but I mean that I hope these are sort of like moderate length quests like the one where you have to bring Solala back to Argentum or the Conspiracy one with Jac

I'm disappointed they're not adding more QoL features.

>affect base stats and affinity chart yea
What's this now?

I'm going to open these common cores and there's nothing you can do to stop me.

They said they would continue to add more improvements in later patches. Just not this one. The NG+ patch will have more map improvements they said. Everyone just thought that NG+ patch would be this one.

Post DLC Blade wishes.

Monolith was stretching it self thin on 3 projects.
It's why XBC2 feels so barren of content compared to XB1/X.

>It's why XBC2 feels so barren of content compared to XB1/X.
X is debatable, but there's sure as hell more content here than in 1.

>Another attacker type Knux

Eh, I could see it. She would have unique dialog with Kosmos

>5 quests
>5 characters
>5 costumes
r-right?

All they need to do is
>not requires you to open the menu to activate affinity nodes
>skip through merc mission results faster
>skip through field checks even faster
>better sorting options for items and blades
>fucking reduce the requirements to complete Ursula's quest

I was absolutely loving this game. Right up until the Chapter 7 dungeon. And what do they do? Follow it up with more horseshit in the very start of the next chapter. "lol you cant run past any of this because they chain knock you down but have fun fighting literally 15 of them in a row". Literally fuck this. I haven't heel turned on a game so hard in a long time. Taking away your party is literally never fun in an rpg but this is king of shit mountain

I think the only content 1 has over 2 is Colony 6. X was made with the intention of it being mostly side content and less story so I don't think it really counts.

It doesn't even have collectopedia, item trading, NPCs that have different locations at different time, gem crafting, it might have more quests in quantity, but in quality it's kinda blown out of the water. The only thing that even keeps it in the race are blade heart to hearts and most of them are rushed dogshit compared to the love but in XB1's heart to hearts.

Yeah, Spirit Crucible is pretty shit and the boss is tedious. It's worth it since the climax of chapter 7 is great.

You can beat the shadows by killing them all at the same time.

>but in quality it's kinda blown out of the water.

This is literally not true, XC1's side quests are hot garbage. NPCs being different places at different times is more annoying than it is "content", it's good that trash didn't come back.

Yeah and then it goes right back to shit. Theres like two parts of this game that I want whoever designed them to neck themselves.

>fucking reduce the requirements to complete Ursula's quest

Yes please, for the love of god. By the time you can get her quest done, it's end game and the rewards mean shit. At the very least they need to up the rewards. I would say it was worth it if you get level VI aux cores from it. Imagine her with a Fast Blade Switch VI core?

How aren't you able to run passed them? That is exactly what I did in that chapter since I ran so much faster then they could react. Also, why is it taking you any time to kill them? You should be devestating them since your party gauge doesn't go down after you use Pneuma. You can just use her back to back every fight and one level 3 attack from her deals almost their full health bar and even my first game, my rolling smash or sword bash dealt 20k. Sounds more like you are just bad and blaming the game for your short comings.

>NPCs that have different locations at different time
It does have this, to a lesser extent than 1, which is GOOD, this shit is annoying.

Most NPCs don't actually move and are just active either at night or during the day. And I'll still take XC1's sidequests over XC2's because they had stories attatched to them. 90% of XC2's non-blade related sidequests are at all memorable.

Fi as another Light blade.

>how cant you run past them
>chain knocks me down

Sounds like you are a fucking retard that can't read and should go back and get his GED

>combat looks fun
>characters looks cool
>cant stand main rex's suit

How long until you become a gundam in the game?
Any outfit change at all?

>WOW IT'S FUCKING NOTHING
If NG+ is anywhere near as shit as it is in XB1 with how long they're taking I'm going to be upset.

An outfit change that doesn't get rid of the exposed thighs or helmet, yes. His design is so garbage I just benched him permanently, even if he does unlock a bunch of absurdly strong main character bullshit later. Didn't regret it at all.

They better allow me to carry over my rare blades by turning them into named core crystals. Thats all i goddamn ask for besides resetting into level 1 with all my WP refunded.

>collectopedia
I'm amazed anyone can miss that. Did people actually like spending hours searching for Black Liver Beans? Not a very big loss.

>item trading
Effectively replaced by the larger amount of shops.

>NPCs that have different locations at different time
Not a very big loss. That shit could get annoying, too. There's still NPCs that are only out at day or night, anyway.

>gem crafting
Effectively replaced by the aux cores and other customization options on the Blades.

>it might have more quests in quantity, but in quality it's kinda blown out of the water.
You have some serious rose-tinted glasses right now. 1's quests were pretty shit, with 2's rare Blade quests standing high above most of them.

>The only thing that even keeps it in the race are blade heart to hearts and most of them are rushed dogshit compared to the love but in XB1's heart to hearts.
Completely subjective and yet more signs of rose-tinted glasses. How the hell can you tell they were "rushed?"

Also, your earlier post claimed Monolith was stretching it thin on 3 projects at once. That's pretty wrong. 2 was only started towards the end of X, and their new game has also only just started development. They were hardly stretched at all.

I think he meant they also worked on the map on botw but thats all they did the overworld map. I do agree with 100% of your points though

There is only 1 monster on the path to the Torna titan that has a knock down. That fucking charge and he doesn't do it often enough to chain it. I ran passed it, got hit, I got up and then ran the rest of the way. I've even been watching playthroughs that have done the same thing, with only ONE person taking the hit and falling off the side and that's because he stopped to try to fight it and stood in an awful position. His next attempt had him run right passed it. So once again. What is preventing you from doing this? Because I don't believe you for shit when most people embellish their stories to make things sound worse then they are.

>I just benched him permanently

You make that sound like you never have to use him. Is that true?

Unironically 2B, just to see Sup Forums meltdown

lmao dude the quests in 1 were so throwaway that you didn't even need to turn them in to complete them

The second you get a 4th party member you can drop him from the party entirely. Game has maybe two hours of time in all of its 80+ hours where he's your only playable option. You're really not forced to use or even include him much at all if you don't want to.

Absolutely false. Right after the clusterfuck fight of 8 zombieblades there is a span of about 15 enemies. Some pop up as you are running across the bridge and you cannot avoid aggro. Every one of them can choose to auto you or to use their charge move. If a single one charges you everything else catches up and chain knocks you down. You must love choking down dick otherwise you wouldn't so vehemently defend a shitty point in an otherwise great game

Just go do some quests until you out level them. I ran right by them without aggroing them

Sleep at an inn and use your bonus XP so you are high enough level that they ignore you.

Or stop sucking.

I think you mean 2 hours of time AFTER getting the 4th party member. Because it's quite a few hours before you actually get the 4th party member.

Whens the update?

Play as Jin

Guys should i buy this or baynetta? I like both jrpg and hack and slash. Can't decide

Get this now and get Bayonetta when it comes out

They ever gonna fix the resolution in handheld mode?

Yeah, I'm sure they'll just patch different hardware into your Switch.

This isn't the final update, why are some fags mad?

cool cant wait ! Now i can finally buy this game

NG+ WHEN

Emulate xenoblade 1 or pirate it if you have a hacked n3ds.
Get bayo 3 for sure

will it fix the 378p 20 fps?

What the fuck are you talking about the side quests in xc2 have more developed stories than 1 as well as quest chains that link together, the only ones that come close in 1 are the bana one (the bana one in 2 has a fat more developed story than it as well) and giant's lore

>tfw too smart for weeaboo games
Should I keep my expectations low? I'm done with Odyssey and Zelda.

Playing the game in docked mode will fix the resolution

Ever hear about optimization?

Side quests are canon tho

Know what would be amazing? An easier way to get overdrive protocols. If you don't play as Rex, this game is a fucking nightmare. Let me move blades more willingly. Also, at a fucking encyclopedia so I don't have to waste 30 minutes to an hour looking for a specific monster to kill for affinity charts. Those are two easy fixes to do that would help the game out a lot.

Wishful thinking but I doubt they would do it but add customization to driver arts. Add a way so you can change a propertly of an attack. Like swapping out Topple for Smash. AI is too bad in this game and loves to constantly change blades so getting the combo is kind of hard. The real big one that would benefit though would be Poppi. It's dumb that you can change her to a healer blade but she can't actually heal you besides picking up potions someone else made.

The weebshit more or less stops after chapter 4

Nice rose tinted glasses

You can leash one at a time and kill then with Jin's instant kill combo. You might just be bad at video games, there's not really anything in the story that is actually hard.

Nah it gets even worse in some cases

The autists thought that this was the ng+ update and when it wasn't they got upset and Fridays and are now fill of baby rage

It really doesn't

I'm not sure you understand what that phrase means, user.

docked mode makes it a nice crisp 480p

It really does.
Neither do you, evidently.

the weebshit only gets worse the further you go in, what the fuck are you talking about

jesus fuck every time jin is onscreen its worse than the time before

>Neither do you, evidently.
Nah, I have a pretty good handle on what it means. You clearly do not.

Optimizations and miscellaneous fixes are all I care about for now.
