I finally got around to playing and finishing Persona 5.
It's the first persona game I've managed to play to completion.
I thought it was very good.

It was also my first Persona game. I also thought it was excellent.
Great now go beat 3 and 4 to completion.
You’ll never see it cominggggg
I've started playing through 3 (psp version) as my first persona game. Only two questions: Is this a game you can pretty safely go through and not get fucked without looking up any guides, and, should I just focus more on fusing personas rather than leveling them? At this early point fusing personas seems to get me higher level ones with basically the same or better abilities, but I'm not sure if they have some magikarp power or not if you focus on leveling them instead.
Should I buy a Persona 4 Golden machine (PSTV)?
Who'd you romance?
It’s worth it
I did it 2 years ago just for p4g

It was also my first Persona game and it was my favorite too,P3 and P4 were bad as shit, wont even try SMT,Makoto is best
It’s pretty impressive that that song doesn’t get annoying even though it plays almost every battle for 100+ hours.
P3/4 Remake where?
i was going to start P3 a while back but accidentally spoiled some of the ending for myself so i put it off. will this ruin my experience with the game? or is the story not that important
P4 Golden is already a remake
Also my first Persona. It was pretty great but the story kind of fell to shit after the Casino. Going to start 4 Golden soon and then borrow SMT Apocalypse off a friend.
we need a HD remake with new models or at least Catherine-tier graphics.
I wish they went full Yakuza in terms of minigames. The only interactivity is the batting cages. Can we get a Karaoke game for Charm already? Or is that hurting Dancing All Night sales?
>karaoke with the boys
Make it happen Atlus.
I've made the mistake of playing with a guide to try to get 100% on my first playtrough, after finishing the pyramid dungeon I grew bored and haven't touched it ever since.
Yeah, kind of fucked yourself with that one.
I stopped at Shidos ship. I was so fucking bored and the combat was still shit 60 hours in.
Out of curiosity what was wrong with the combat?
Its to simplistic for its own good. Every encounter just feels copy and pasted. Find enemy's weakness by using a spell roulette and then rinse and repeat until the games over. The combat itself never evolves past this and It's tedious after a while.
I think that's just the SMT formula since Nocturne.
I sorta agreed. While the baton passes and All out attacks look cool as shit they inevitable make the game why too easy because of how broken they are. I only had real fun with the combat in the beginning of the game since i was playing on hard but after the 4th palace sp management stops being a thing and the game turns piss easy again with the exploiting weakness spam into baton pass into all out attack.
When does this game fucking end? I'm doing Okumura's Palace and I'm starting to get really tired. The story is not interesting in the slightest, and for me, is usually the driving force for me to continue in long JRPGs, which by nature get repetitive gameplay wise. I don't know, but the whole theme of teenage rebellion just falls flat for me.
If you're not interested in the story then cut your losses now. You've still got two more palaces after that plus the bottom of Mementos.
