To be fair, they've tried dieting in the past due to wrong ideas about what you should and shouldn't eat, and then get bitter and simply stop trying when they inevitably fail. There was a whole documentary about dieting and how people get fat that goes into nice detail about it, that was originally meant to discredit Super Size Me.
