Is that spiderman for ps1?
say what you will about the textures and resolution, the game has its moments of visual flair
>implying spider man looks like shit
...
do people actually feel the game is ugly or is it mostly a meme? The texturing and lack of AA is quite bad but in terms of color palette and overall artstyle is looks pretty nice, especially in the evening (I don't like the fog effect in the mornings much) and these were taken on the wii u version.
No, it's the same retards posting the same cherrypicked youtube compressed pre-release screenshots every time.

tbqh I'm not seeing any similarity between them, and I played a shitload of oblivion when it came out.
unironically looks fun as fuck
>breath of the wild is a hard ga-
botw has a cel shaded style, but in terms of textures, effects, draw distance, etc, they are pretty much equals.
I dare you to try this with a Golden Lynel.
not really, reflections are much better in botw, draw distance is also huge in comparison to oblivion since from the right vantage point you can literally see from one side of the map to the other and the map is possibly the largest non-generated landscape in vidya.
Picture unrelated I assume?
How can a game look so ugly yet so beautiful at the same time?
yes, actually. I don't have any good pics of the whole landscape since most of my pics are around central hyrule and I forgot where the highest peaks are other than hebra (which snows too often)
because great palette, great water/reflection, fairly bad textures, no AA, mixed LoD.
>largest non-generated landscape in vidya
It's supposedly 1.5x the size of Skyrim. Not even close to being the largest map.
What part about this looks fun?
Looks like the most simple fucking video game i have ever seen. There are 5000 other video games like it. The only difference is that it is tied to a cardboard peripheral.
Even the VR version of this concept looks 2000 times more fun.
The only good looking thing in this game is Link’s hips
having played skyrim, I can tell you with certainty that botw is significantly larger than 1.5x the size of skyrim. It's fucking massive. I think it's even larger than XCX's world and that was over 300km sq.

As wide as an ocean, as deep as a puddle.
cherry pick
every game has a shit stain somewhere
the physics mechanics have a lot of depth to them, and the world is surprisingly dense; denser than most people realise.
I unironically think BotW is the best visual art style of the year
>As wide as an ocean, as deep as a puddle.
You haven't played BotW
Has anyone hear purchased and played the DLC? Does it add more content to the game or is it mostly just new items and armors? I'm about 30 hours into the game when I heard about the Master difficulty and now I'm not sure whether I should continue or buy the DLC and start over. Pretty sure the game would be even better with more difficult enemies, since I'm kinda afraid that at some point I'll have so many hearts that fights just stop being a challenge.
They used a post apocalyptic setting as an excuse to make the world as empty as possible, copy pasting stables is just lazy design.
Why are nintendo kids acting like a field of grass is a magnificent bit of scenery never before seen by human eye? It's just a field jesus
It is pretty empty though. It has 3 or 4 regions with literally zero quests. What the hell were they thinking
WOW.... that looks like shit
>Everyone saying BOTW is amazing
>Got modded wii u
>Download and install it
>Bored within 2 hours
>mfw people praise this game for just being an open world zelda where you create your own fun with lame ass physics
>No good music
>No sense of progression
>No story
>Delete and move on to actual fun Wii U games
I like the traditional formula of Zelda sorry.
Remind me of this
it's a landscape shot of hyrule castle though
