Remake was on GC. The "new" remaster is literally the same game remastered. Remake 2 they have to make from scratch.

That's not true at all, they remade the entire layout and flow of the original game. Play RE Director's Cut and then REmake before you spout shit like that.

Remember how original RE2 was delayed too and then once it was finally released it blew everyone the fuck out? Capcom is going for round two here.

It only has 2 for each character and even then it just changes up scenery a bit and theyre pretty similar
