I am currently investigating a sealed-off Dwarven forge in the mountains.

PoE looks so comfy. Great art.

Yea I really like the attention to detail, especially even inside this keep. Inside and outside environments are all lovely.

Just a shame the models look so shitty, especially in comparison. I always keep the game at the most zoomed out it allows.

Lick my staff, slut.

So do I, for max vision mainly.

Not currently playing since I finished everything in it but it's the last screenshot I took.
10/10 game

is there a way to git gud at PoE combat? it feels so weird.

like, it tries to be a hybrid of real time and turn based, but it falls short for me.

can i choose one or the other? it's just weird, do i pause after every character uses a skill and go to the next character and repeat?

PoE is inspired on games like BG, but it feels very much like its own beast. As long as you aren't playing on POTD, you just need to slow the combat down (click S) and pause when necessary to switch targets. Positioning is very important.

alright, i'll try that. i've just been trying to position standard trinity shit, tank front line/supports back and avoiding traps/line of sight issues.

Main thing is playing on Slow Down mode. Set up the correct pause actions (e.g. enemy sighted, party member KO), set up correct AI, formation, good party set up (one tank, one heal/support priest, one AoE CC guy, and at least DPS dumpers).

But all in all though, yeah it does feel weird. I think the combat is way too fast for what it is and the spell/ability variety for some of the classes need to be better and improved. For example, there shouldn't be so much single target one use per encounter/rest active abilities - it requires too much micro management. Many of them only target one enemy so I always resort to party members who blast everything with AoEs and just let the AI DPSers do their shit.

Playing some TF2 with bros. Won a bunch of money in poker a few weeks ago and spent it on my first unusual.

I'm from Buenos Aires and I say fuck 'em all!

I played the entire game on hard + fast mode with two wizards and pausing after each spell, it's fine if you have a decent party formation to begin with.
Never felt like I needed to slow down the action on top of the pausing.

don't sleep on potions and other consumables, chugging a few late game ones can turn difficult fights into easy ones

I'm playing through SotFS for the first time, just finding out why people have sour feelings towards the Shrine of Amana. Most of the DaS2 hate seems to be typical Sup Forums hivemind silliness though.

You whippersnappers are hilarious.

wew I forgot about those doods. I like that there are so many strong bosses in the game.

Yeah, the optional bosses of the DLC really made me feel like a strong ass D&D party with everyone being level 16 and taking down archmages and dragons.

>why people have sour feelings towards the Shrine of Amana
Shrine of Amana prepatch was a ridiculous place.

Shrine of Amana isn't that bad, though it has a pretty nasty part toward the end.
My first run through, I was using a a sweetfx preset that made it impossible to tell the floor from the pits without using a torch, pretty funny.

Oh fuck. I'm OP and I forgot it went up to 16, I thought it was 14 for whatever reason. Man it's been a while. I wish there were less dragons but ah well.

Lurking through the jungle as carefully as possible and ending up getting swarmed by VC anyway

Is Abydon's Hammer the strongest 2H melee weapon in the game?

yes

Fuck. I didn't want to play the same character on this run but it turns out I am anyway.
