No, but now there's an artist power, so if she ever does come back, she can probably have a moveset.

I'm not expecting her to be the game's special mode, but if she's in the game in any meaningful way that'd be great.

Story Stuff. Seems to confirm that the heart that hits Kirby is different than everything else the Jama/Demon Heart is sending out.

An Artist ability got in, so now there could be a chance of her appearing in this game or in the future.

They're certainly referencing Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64 a whole lot. I'd only expect a legacy boss with some tie at the very least though.

Yeah, he was first seen in the E3 trailer. This makes me wonder though, can you befriend a midboss knowing that both Bonkers and Bugzy are playable? Getting a Helper this time around is way different now that you throw hearts at them instead.

So is the consensus that star allies will be good? Last 2 kirbys I played were the last one on wii and rainbow curse and I loved curse. I'm 50/50 on the new one but i have a switch

It's basically a follow up to RtDL.
Consensus thus far isn't that positive, mostly due to burn-out from Triple Deluxe & Planet Robobot, but there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the game itself so far.
Basically, if you liked RtDL, you'll like this.

If you played Return to Dreamland, then Star Allies seems a lot like it, though the characters are all the various critters from the game rather than just 4 kirbys or MK/DDD/Bandanna Dee

It looks like it's going to be a great game, and there's going to be a competition on who defeats both Whispy and Dedede the quickest on Jan 21.

Francsica is a thing so don't count on it.

Francisca is already confirmed to have dialogue.
Big question is will it be like RtDL (Only one major plot dump) TD (two or three plot dumps with mostly textless cutscenes) or Planet Robobot (plenty of important, text heavy cutscenes).

That was early Dedede in the spinoffs, although I think he still does since he holds a grudge against Kirby.

So now we know that the purple aura surrounding them is actually them corrupted rather than possessed. Which makes sense since Dedede is stealing food from Dreamland as evidenced in the background and is smiling throughout his battle rather than looking all dead from prior games. Could this also mean that Meta Knight is going to bring back his Halberd to rule over Popstar again?

I like 64 castle too, but I love the anime castle design. Something about it makes me think that it fits Dedede's personality very well.

I think I've read all of Rainbow Resorts'. I'm not sure scans or scanlations exist for the 4koma mangas I want to read, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I think K64 Dedede's castle fits really well with his stoic characterization in those games.

Dedede is the only one possessed in Dreamland 2 without anyone knowing, so it could be his own castle.

The bottommost one is a Waddle Dee carrying a banana. I bet you they're sending food to Dedede, like always.

Part of me wonders about that part too considering the clouds that cover the Rainbow Islands and re-enter the boss doors just nets you a minigame with the boss after beating them (a bit like in Dream Land 3 how the boss simply doesn't fight you once exorcised).

I interpreted it as Dark Matter taking control of Dedede, and using Dedede's influence to get his minions to build him a new home. Same for Zero.

The heart has the name "Jama Heart" which translates to "Demon Heart"/"Wrong Heart" So I don't think it's Nova connected.

Iceberg, at least, has Dedede's color palette whereas Dark Castle seems to be purple (which was also Real Dark Matter's color scheme in concept art) and the name, Dark Castle.

It's one of those fairies from Kirby 64 who defected from Queen Ripple who still worships Zero.

I dont think so unless minions built castles very fast or kirby took a really long time to reach iceberg because the adventure start not much time after Dark matter posses everyone

I noticed in the cutscene that the Jama Heart quickly flies out to space before that bright burst of hearts; I don't think you get to visit the altar the cultist was at in-game.
