Soldier is the canon one
Adept is the most fun one

damn, I want to bang him

Biotic classes were pretty fun in ME1, but Soldier is my most played.

To add to this, Vanguard is pretty good too but I prefer "pure mage" hence Adept. Vanguard is more like a hybrid between Adept and Soldier.

ME1 Soldier, ME2+3 profile import the soldier and go Infiltrator so you can hose most things down with the assault rifle, and mod the sniper rifle to be a one-shot-kills-anything death cannon.

Vanguard is only fun in me2 and up

Thanks.

Vanguard is the ULTRA MEGA BIG DICK DADDY in me1 you have to be a complete idiot to die playing vanguard. Fun is a relative term.

Soldier feels most appropriate for Shepard's character, though I would gladly play a biotic class if it was acknowledged more frequently in the story, or if Shepard used his biotic powers in cutscenes where they would plainly be useful.

Vanguard or Adept.

soldier is the true chad choice

enjoy having your squadmates waste all their cooldowns on a single enemy

Spoke like a true beta bitch.

Soldier is the most boring one, which is why 80% of the players played it and then exclaim the first game is shit.

It's not a great game, but it's loads better as adept or Sentinel of Vanguard.

I tend to like sentinel best, since it doesn't force you to bring an engineer with you to decrypt shit.

>it doesn't force you to bring an engineer with you
Why wouldn't you want to bring one true qt3.14 waifu in this whole series with you tho?

>picking anything but engineer

>See this screenshot
>"Hmm I havent played Mass Effect in a long time maybe I'll pick up the trilogy"
>It doesnt come with any DLC, and individually it all adds up to like $100
Thanks EA you fucks

Also: Pirate it.

I know, I think I'll have to pirate it. I misspoke when I said "no dlc", but it is missing most of the dlc. Part of this, I think, is because they release the trilogy while ME3 dlc was still being made. You'll notice if you scroll down they still sell Bioware points so you can buy it all.

It's only shit if you're shit. I used guns like they were abilities.

If the enemy was up close, I whipped out the shotgun and raped. If the were far, sniper rifle. If they were inbetween, assault rifle.

The only gun that was worthless was the pistol. Add in some grenades and you could have fun in any fight.

I always preferred soldier in all 3 games. It was fun no matter which one you had and you were never fucked because your powers were on cd.

Jesus why is everyone replaying ME1 recently?

Most people will tell you to pick Vanguard or Adept. Vanguard is a walking destroyer in melee range because Barrier is very powerful, unless you are fighting Krogan Battlemaster, Rachni or Thorian Creeper, these enemies can either attack you bypassing shield or hit like a truck.

Adept is like a pure mage but I wouldn't recommend that class if you can't stomach waiting 30-40s power cooldown time.

I just finished ME1 as Vanguard, that is super fun and I don't think you can play through Pinnacle Station as any less-tanky class, that last mission is really hard even if you got a full tank team on max level. I tried a dozen times and have to give up.

>all these people recommending Soldier

I bet you fucks go home and eat spaghetti with your white bread picket fence family and top it off with vanilla ice cream for desert.

>replaying
user the game is nearly 11 years old and these are all 19 year olds playing it for the first time because now it's a "classic" that they werent allowed to play in 5th grade because of the fox news segment about the "sex scenes"

Adept is fucking sweet in ME2 and ME3. That is all.

>19 and played it in 2011
>tfw the game gave you a xeno fetish

Played first 2 games as a soldier first and It was all right, Mattock gun from Zaed's dls is my all time fav gun. Replayed whole trilogy as a vanguard later and it was even better but I would not shit on soldier that much.
>inb4 Im still mad
I am, but that's not the point

>all these people against soldier
it's like you don't want to play melee only be becoming invincible with heavy armor + master immunity

vanguard does it better

Infiltrators represent

Vanguard became the master class after thr biotic charge was added

Here bro. Why are we the best class?

adept in 1, soldier in 2 & 3

enjoy your easy modes

Why? Um....

Shit.

Vanguard can only go medium armor and barrier as their line of defense. Immunity and Heavy Armor are much better, but Solider is a boring class to play anyway, only for 1st playthrough.

>Immunity and Heavy Armor are much better
see that's just objectively wrong.

>That custom appearance.

Because sniping is satisfying?

>Adept
>ME2
What the fuck am I reading?

>Not going engineer
ISHYGDDT

Yeah, it's like people like to have FUN

It obviously got a lot easier to use in 3, but it's still very strong in 2 because stripping shields is so easy. Also helped a lot that singularity usually staggerlocks groups regardless of their protections. Strip a shield (1 overload) and the entire group explodes.

>FUN
Fun is overrated

There is nothing more exhilarating than playing Adept on ME2 on insanity.

Every pussy cried that it was too hard or impossible, but they were just too stupid to realize that you can still use your guns as an adept. Singularity and warp bombs are amazing.

Just because casuals are too stupid to play, doesn't mean the class isn't strong. You just have to learn how to use it.

Sent is way more fun.
You can strip everything like an adapt but the power armor allows you to play out of cover more often and CC everyone constantly.
Also looks more aesthetic than blue shit.

Infiltrator is still the best.

CHAD VANGUARD ALWAYS

Adept is a team player. They are not OP, Rombo, mindlessly kill-everything-in-sight gods like soldiers.

You actually have to use your brain and your companions to complete the mission.

Miranda is perfect as a companion for an Adept because she can strip shields and armor. Throw Grunt in as a Tank or Garrus for another shield destroyer.

>Miranda is perfect
Amen

Stop playing Mass Effect.

>missing most of the dlc.
It has the worthwhile DLC for 2, it's only missing 3's, and that's a poor game anyway.

It's still a royal pain in the ass. You're not going to have fun until you strip their layers, at which point they're as good as dead anyway.

Release some more halo games on PC.

Shields shatter to like a half-second of SMG spray even on insanity, and armor/barriers don't fare much better when you've got warp ammo. Enemies rarely get a chance to even fight back while you spend the second to strip them because they're stumbling around in a singularity, and a single exposed enemy blows up to strip all protections off every nearby enemy, who are now instantly caught in the singularity and primed for another explosion.

It's really not as bad as people make it out to be.

Fuck what anyone else says. Infiltrator was my favorite playthrough. Magicfags keep spouting Vanguard or Adept but sniping in ME1 and ME2 with the power-ups was comfy good time gaming.

...

>using a custom male shep

How fucking dare you

I like to self-insert

I don't think it would be that much of a problem if you could make an attractive and interesting looking male Shep.
