What console do you collect for user?
Game collecting
sega genesis
I used to collect ps1 games, but my parents threw everything away
But the pain is still fresh
I collect free games for PC.
Why tho?
y..You guys mean nes titles right??
After I empty 4 out of the six rounds i have in my revolver into his liver, I would hover over this fool and inquire as to his all time greatest memory. I would then shoot him once in the stomach and once in the penis. I would then wait to suck the last breath out of his lungs and use said breath to utter "I collect for the NGage"
We were just moving to the other end of the country, so couldn't really afford to bring along stuff we didn't use anymore
no, i mean sega genesis
pat is a fucking faggot
hes terribly unfunny and a giant hypocrit
>get on your soapbox any time some no name blogger writes a sidebar article for yahoo money about someone finding a rare nes game because they're "destroying the hobby by shining a light on retro games"
>bitch nonstop on your podcast about this any time it happens
but at the same time
>bring the single rarest video game in existence to Pawn Stars in the prime of its popularity so millions of people see this random 30 thousand dollar NES game
god forbid you bring it up to pat, because he's not allowed to talk about it because of the waiver he signed to get on the show 10 years ago! :^)
But can it do 64-bit?
I mean piracy.
no but it can do blast processing
I never seen anyone else with Pat's hair style before. What do you even call that?
The charred nigger
>dat video with the vampire porn actress
the man child
i don't know how it's possible to look nine and forty at the same time, but he finds a way
I like his Playboy show.
anyone want to see some of my sega games?
sure
okay, i will show you a few of my favorites
>tfw poor
>want to collect games but have to live game to game and trade them in when I'm done to put toward the next one
just stop being poor dood
...
Is Ian dead from whatever he was dying of yet? I enjoyed their podcast when they were shedding light on shit they actually had a clue about like the chameleon scam, but every time Pat opens his mouth about anything made since 1995 he clearly has no idea what the fuck he's spouting. Ian actually has decent taste for the most part but he's a whiny little fuckstain and his voice is unbearable.
...
Last I heard, Pat has placed a sensor underneath Ian's taint that forces him to be on his podcasts whenever he wants him on.
ians back but hes hooked in vicoden now so hes even more insufferable. he's either bitching about withdrawl or he's high on the.
Neat.
Here's one of mine.
>le 56% face
cool game, dude
What game is that in the top right?
Quackshot?
quackshot starring donald duck
Didn’t he used to be in the band Greenday?
I unironically used to liked Ian. Now I can't help but see him as the liberal, degenerate sack of shit he is. Sucks about his stomachache or whatever the hell he has, but he's still shit.
I mean top left, if the photo's oriented correctly, that is. The one that's not Quackshot or Rocket Knight
Tomb Raider
Best i have atm is Legend on GBA still in the wrapper
streets of rage 2
I want to collect more Gamecube games. But it's stupidly expensive
I was collecting Nes, super nes games, but since my nephew basically just wants to play minecraft online or only play online games I though, no point in collecting those old games, the new generation doesn't appreaciate them so I stopped. bought an nes/snes classic for me, then built a raspberry pi and I enjoy vydia with friends, so basically screw my nephew he aint getting any of my vydia
It can go even further beyond.
>trading games
Literally throwing money away. Just sell them privately and get back at least 25% of what you paid for them. Unless you have shit taste in games they should be worth something a few months later.
You're poor because you make bad decisions.
Serious question, wouldn't this fuck up the console in some voltage way?
>collecting for only one console
lolwut. (1/3)
2/3
>Having only a few games for each console
You call that impressive?
3/3. NES, SNES, N64, Game Boy, GBA loose carts, and Genesis games are packed away since I just moved recently.
Get a job, hippie.
I collect for multiple consoles. I can never quite wrap my head around people who apparently 'enjoy games' but own minimum systems.
...
retro titles
This a the majority of my retro games, but still missing tons of loose game boy games and just anything else I forget to take pictures of.
neat thread
>both Jp and US versions of Sin & Punishment 2
>Lost in Shadow
>Madworld
My nigga. Also, unless I'm blind and I didn't see it, I'd recommend Fragile Dreams for the Wii.
I also like collecting strategy guides (well aware of how silly it is) and part of my obvious Tales collection
The Wii was an absolute beast of a system... and that's not even including how fucking awesome it is as an emulator box. I don't even care what people say.
>Fragile Dreams
I actually ordered this game a long time ago, but it was one of those "lost in mail" bull shit and then never got around to ordering it again. Soon though as I really want to play it.
Has a nice reversible cover, too, and a full-color manual. I miss those days.
COmfy collection.
Those were some good times user. I know people are pushing for digital, but I'll never be able to fully come to terms with that mindset. It just fucking irks me.
Thanks user! Much appreciated it.
I used to have a shelf with all my games on it, but they're in drawers now. The only console I play much anymore is SC-3000, though it could also be considered a computer.
What's the best way to sell off a collection?
PS3
Its cheap
It's pretty pricey. People that have large collections probably don't play them all, too. What's the point?
I used to buy and work at a store that had older vidya for lots of systems in the early-mid 2000s. Only bought what I would play and some of the titles are really sought after now and expensive. Prices today are fucking insulting and I feel sorry for anyone trying to collect. You're paying out the ass for some games that aren't even that rare.
>prices are terrible
Unfortunately this, but it does feel nice to own things that have value from whence you were a kid. I would hate to have to start collecting now though.
switch
I have all 0 games
Not him but I was big into collecting from 07 to 2014 or so. It was fun for a while but eventually you realise that you're just buying games rather than playing them. I ended up with way too many games that I'd not even tested.
Anyways I agree with you; collecting now just isn't financially viable, people are paying out the ass for average or even shit games just because they're old. Cex of all places gave me 40 quid for fucking Truxton.
Thankfully my fiance and I have regular 'retro' game nights so we try to play as many as possible during said night. While I enjoy collecting for fun. I massively prefer playing them and do so with any free time.
Pat: How about that same story #483 about some womyn in gaming. I am not an SJW but womyn are treated differently. Right Ian. *cue chuckle*
Ian: EHBLBLEBELE *change voice* People will call me a mega-sjw or some shit eehwhdsnsd get over yourself I can have my own opinions but your right Pat
Pat: FOOOD! I love food but I can't eat them anymore
Ian: My ass cancer is hurting again thanks for giving me bucks on gofundme
*clicks voice software* SCUMBAG SELLER OF THE WEEK.
Pat: This scumbag is reselling some shit that I do too but he is a scumbag and I am not because I am not a hyporcrite
Tune in next time for the same exact opinion, on the same exact channel, on a slightly altered story. Good Night.
I've been looking for ages to find a collector who might be interested in buying a sealed Mario Galaxy Platinum OST, the one you could exchange for stars in the old Club. Seems like no one in EU is interested, you think someone in US might want to buy it off of me?
>Price of retrogaming has skyrocketed
I know I can emulate, which I do, but Jesus fucking Christ, is nothing sacred anymore?
I started collecting for Dreamcast this year, it's also my first I guess.
Ask a guy who got Ninja Five-O for $2.00 anything.
blame pat and that whole group of unsuccessful e celeb faggots who try to make documentaries and shit about retro games, but then bitch about the price going up due to exposure
To be frank, games like Mr. Gimmick (Where whole gimmick is the high price), Little Samson and Flintstones 2 had high price to begin with, but it's creeping on all other games as well and isn't just limited to NES/SNES/N64.
