Yes it is though the fun factor drops due to the grinding. If you aren't prepared to grind in MH games then they're not for you. Said grind becomes way more fun with coop so you should consider not being restrained to single player only. Its not like you cant clear all of the game by yourself but after awhile its not a test of skill but of endurance. Killing the same monster 20 times in a row just to get that specific material for upgrades can get tiring, coop can make that way better since there's 4 of you, you can kill it
way faster and the drops arent shared between players, you all get the same chances and amount. Hunt it once or twice to prove to yourself you can beat it then go coop for the grind is the best way to enjoy the game.
