I prefer Darkest hour, pleb

play squad

yea, they are totally related :))

Legitimately curious for your reasoning behind this, as someone who loves Rising Storm

I think the core gameplay lends itself more to the eastern front setting but I like the Vietnam era more.

RO2 was casualized out the ass, pleb. You should kys yourself for even suggesting that the new Red Orchestras are good when there's DH

Fuck Tripwire and fuck casuals like you who they have to pander to

Oh shit I didn't see the 2 after Rising Storm in the OP. Regardless, Rising Storm > RO2 > RS2

What's wrong with Rising Storm 2?

Do people still play DH a lot? I'm down for it if there is at least one full server. I haven't played in a long fucking while.

This. Fucking nu-Red Orchestra is shit.

what does this graph tell us?

you're a pleb and a shitter, RS is just a continuous no-brain zerg rush and the maps are even tinier and hall-way like.
RS2 is way better than RS and if it was eastern-front themed it would be better than RO2 as well.

Same thing thats wrong with all tripwires games, they're are unfinished and unpolished. But still full of good ideas and are pretty often fun.

It's pretty much dead at this point.

Same shit with Killing Floor. Tripwire fucking casualizes the shit out of their games, but then nobody plays them any more because they're too casual.

If we go by shitposter opinions, then Insurgency is clearly the best game there because player count is always the best indicator of the quality of a game.

I prefer vietnam

Nothing. Game is fleshed out nicely. More maps than Ro2 in less than half the time. Just need campaign mode and RS2 is superior.

I prefer it because it's a faster game while maintaining tactical elements. Banzai charges are fun for being zerg rushes while requiring at least some degree of coordination, and the asymmetry of the teams keeps the game from getting too stale by just switching sides (at the end of a campaign of course, no traitors accepted). Sounds to me like you're one of those stuck up pricks who complains about other players throwing themselves into the meat grinder trying to play the objective while you park your ass and wait for 10 min to pick off an enemy.

The graph tells us that insurgency is the most accessible of the 4 similarly niche games in your picture.

Insurgency is Counter Strike with instagib
Squad is shit

>post-ostfront tripwire games

i'll pass

That insurgency was on sale for a $1 like a week ago

Rising storm 2 would be ok if they fixed numerous bugs and crash problems.

RO2 > Insurgency
DoI > RS2

I like RS2 a lot but I I still prefer RO2/RS and I miss my snowy expanses and the slower and more methodical gameplay.

what about rising storm 1?

youtube.com/watch?v=XAVi99Rwh8g

>RO2 > Insurgency
i understand we all have different opinions but really

this

I love both, but I enjoyed RO2 a lot more, despite it's more obvious flaws.

>it's

Do not bully.

>See all the nostalgia-fags talking about how great RO1 is and how casualized RO2 is
>Decide to go buy RO1 and try it and Darkest Hour
>It's shit in comparison to RO2

The only casualized thing about RO2 is zooming in, other than that and less weapon types it's objectively better than RO1 in every way.

RS2 on the other hand is definitely a garbage sequel.

I hate the Vietnam era, I hate the American voices, I hate the stupid automatic weapons, I hate the jungle maps and I hate the shitty music. But my Australian RO2 community moved to this garbage because they get to roleplay as suicidal 19 year olds

RS2 was a tad too fast paced. Still played it ~140 hours, but my feeling about it in hind-sight is lukewarm. It was too "run-and-gun"-y.

Zooming in isn't casualized, it's more realistic. We're playing on some shitty 1080p very rarely 4k monitors. Everything is way harder to spot than in real life. There is a reason why Arma has always let you have big zoom from eye only simulating focus.

Hi bby :) Always a nice to find another DH player.

your opinions are poor and you should not be posting

It's more realistic but arguably more casual, not being able to zoom made long range aiming much harder.

It also gave advantage to people with bigger screens/smaller fov

Darkest Hour and Ostfront were the shit but god damn it aged badly.
What happens when they port RO2 assets to RS2 user?

Niche games?
Anyway Insurgency Sandstorm beta is imminent, Post Scriptum before this summer. RS2 should get a RO2 DLC. Bannerlord hopefully, this year might yet still be a decent one.

Haven't played RS2. What's wrong with it?

Too casual for the "tactical shooter" crowd and too punishing for the BF/CoD audience. I saw that coming from a mile away reading the interviews back then. Stats, levelling, unlocks, half a dozen gamemodes, main gameplay cqc as fuck with automatic weapons everywhere and barely any need for vehicles nor were there any substantial number offered anyway. ew Tripwire, just ew.

Am I the only one who has to go through six bugsplat windows before the game finally decides to launch? I would be playing RS2 a lot more if it wasn't as much a pain in the ass to even start.

I'm in the same boat. What I find works is to launch RO2 Multiplayer then close it the try and launch RS2. I don't know why but for some reason it gets around the launch crashes

opbp

Squad is great, homo

This. Even rising storm 1 is pretty shit.
Terrible maps, terrible team balance, less team visibility, worse artistic direction

>terrible team balance
What about 'asymmetrical gameplay' is hard for you to understand?

How can I have fun in this kind of games?
It's slow, it's tedious, you get headshot from 200 meters away by faggots flanking the farthest possible to the limit of leaving the combat area and you spend most of your time crawling in low-res texture mud trying to snipe enemy pixels through shitty foliage

DH was great, 29th provided good laughs with their autism. Shame RO2 killed such a fun and content rich game.

I like both you Kiwi.

which fucking map is that
I have hundreds of hours in the game and I cant recognize it

I wouldn't call RO2/RS/RS2 slow. You die fast but you get back into action really quick. They're games about smart movement and positioning really, you have to probe around where the enemy is weakest and abuse it.

Looks like the tutorial polygon.

That's from the solo campaign. You start in some training mod on this map to learn the fundamentals if I recall.

If you are still playing ww2 shooters then you are a genuine dick sucker.

Is it hard to get back into RO2 after omly having played RS2 recently. ive not played it in years and i feel like going back to bolt actions might be shit

>Not exclusively using mosin nagant in RS2

>being a tryhard

>Disliking fun weapons

>you get back into action really quick
Only if you have a good SL which is an extremely rare feature
Most of the time you'll be running like a retard from the spawn only to get sniped halfway through the way to the obj and back into the spawn queue for 20 seconds

>what does this graph tell us?
meme games, I suppose

did you get knee mortared in iwo jima every 4 minutes sweetheart?

WW2 has the best technologies and potential for games still. Only problem is that 80% of the games focus on either Normandy or MarketGarden, totally ignoring North Africa, Italy, Southern France, Sicily or the Japan conquests in the East.
That renaissance of WW2 shooters didn't last long though.
Day of Infamy was alright but Normandy
Days of War flopped in Normandy
Battalion 44 is gonna flop in Normandy
Hell let Loose is gonna flop in Normandy
CoD WW2 sucked in Normandy
Post Scriptum might be alright but again Market Garden shit
Enlisted by Gaijin is going to be p2w garbage in Normandy
Heroes & Generals is pay to win in Normandy
RO2/RS is old but at least in ostfront and pacific

Last trully wonderful WW2 game which did all theaters was Hidden&Dangerous 2 fifteen fucking years ago.

I only played RS2 during the free weekend but the double barrel with slugs was some of the most fun I've had in a game.

This is what you faggots call it? The Americans being objectively overpowered and winning every match?

How do you pronounce Mosin Nagant?

wish we had a funland winter war game desu

If you call strangers dickheads over something so inanely trivial, you are objectively a bellend.

I'm sorry you're so shit that you can't win on the zip team

lmfao shut the fuck up comrade

There was Finnwar for BF1942 and Forgotten hope 2 had Finland.

>one of the biggest fucking victories in modern history
>not a single fucking game about it
feels bad man

But Finland lost
>inb4 autistic screeching and muh kd

"moist" "nugget"

still got btfo desu

So whats the point of the PPS42?
Is it actually any useful and worth picking over the PPSH41 or is it just a shitty inaccurate MP40?

There is no point, PPSH41 is the best weapon in every game of the series.

Damn Russians and their gangster tactics

>sniping people with PPSH bursts is actually easier than sniping them with bolt action
What did TW mean by this?

how come the people who play these games always have a stick up their ass? also why do all of them constantly talk about the death of the white race

>also why do all of them constantly talk about the death of the white race
because its literally happening?

none. in real life it was because it was easier to produce than the ppsh41

West mainstream battles were boring as shite.
Gib some hardcore ass siberian warfare.

You can play western front in RO2/RS with this mod, the problem is that is very hard to find servers:
store.steampowered.com/app/440090/Heroes_of_The_West/

Also, CoD:WaW had Eastern Front and Pacific

ro2 maps are effectively solved. Which makes it very boring. Pick the map that favors the attacker and win.

I fucking hate how every single campaign is always the same
>red october factory
>barracks
>fucking appartments
>bridges
>spartanovka
>pain elevator
ENOUGH

front never reached siberia tho

Nam' > WW2

>also why do all of them constantly talk about the death of the white race

Because people who are really into WWII shit and play all the WWII games know enough about WWII to know that Hitler was right.

Darkest Hour team pls make a fucking ww1 game since Verdun and the DLC suck dicks

Rs2 has too many bullshit deaths like RPGs, grenade launchers, traps, flamethrowers, etc. It's much less skill based than ro2.

Aren't they in charge of this?
indiedb.com/games/festungeuropa
Seems to be vaporware and again Normandy stuff.
Almost forgot but there is also Traction Wars which should be free2play and again Normandy
tractionwars.com/content.html
Also the devs of the mod Resistance&Liberation doing another game on Normandy.
youtu.be/q9zzLDMR8yE
All these games suck ass, Post Scriptum might have a little chance to gather a niche community though.

That "realistic" scopes are a terrible mechanic for video games.

Because its a niche game that lets you play as the Germans, so all the Wehrmacht/Nazi apologists flock to it.

Fuck off jew. Wehrmacht literally din du nuffin.

>front never reached siberia
The war affected Siberia you mongoloid
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invasion_of_South_Sakhalin
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invasion_of_the_Kuril_Islands

>traps
>flamethrower
>grenade launchers
Those are also in RO2/RS
