After playing Prey I'm tentatively looking forward to the remake. I want more, but I'm scared that Prey was a one-off and that other imitations of System Shock will be shit.

nuPrey is actually a very short game.
The shitty crafting filler inflates the game's playtime and gives the illusion of content.
The halfass fallout 4 settlements are a more egregious example of this.

i did a no typhon power run. took me 20+ hours to complete. found out you can free mind controlled people by hitting them with the shocker.

Yeah I just checked his twitter now, the usual Trump shit. Makes me respect game devs like Chris Avellone more who, while obviously has a liberal slant keeps that shit off his twitter and games.
Also, I see he's working on SS3 and not the remake. Which is good because I doubt the former will ever come to fruition.

No. Music is very hit and miss, level design can give you PTSD, gameplay would get stale quickly.

I thought the ending was great. Wrapped everything up nicely.
They were plenty of hints towards the ending sprinkled throughout the game. There's a recording in Psychotronics where Morgan, Alex and that black doctor guy run down the whole plot line of the ending.

I don't care about people disliking or even hating Trump but falling for the mainstream outrage culture (joining every Facebook bandwagon ie. "Shithole" "Russiagate") is always a bit disappointing to see.
But everyone wants to be a pundit when a celebrity or Republican is in office I guess.

Ending with an 'It was all a dream' is always going to be divisive. I know they have a line that's something like 'I bet he thinks none of it mattered', but that's not really good enough.

There's two ending you're never going to be able to pull off.

- Timetravel undid it all

Not him but I saw the ending coming from a mile away. I correctly guessed it when I got the first "flashback" of the person talking to you telling you that things are not what they seem. I wish they took the flashbacks out or made them somewhat more subtle about it because I felt they were too obvious.

Isn't it being made by the same guys who did the Turok remaster? They did pretty well.

I went in to this game completely blind, it turned out to be my second favorite game of the year behind Nier. Just make sure you play on the hardest difficulty because the game is really easy.

No the problem with alien isolation is that the whole game feels like a tutorial for a real game, Prey gives a lot of agency to the player even going so far as to let them go anywhere on the station after the introduction phase
