test

that fur neck just beats 90% of the stuff DaS3 has to offer

terrible taste

nah, i'm not homo

good counterargument!
not that DaS 3 has that many fashon in the first place

where does the 'a' come from in Darksouls? surely it should just be DS3

got the habit from early dsg threads

Demon's Souls came first, and people want to clarify that they're not addressing some mysterious, fake sequel that never happened. To that end, Demon's Souls is DeS and Dark Souls is DaS.

Probably to differentiate between demon souls and dark souls.

that's just cruel OP

fur is murder

fpbp

Why dont they put an armor designer in the game? Where you could change shapes and colors. It would be really cool

what about using the fur of animals we have to kill anyway for different reasons?

Like foxes

King in the north

Sup Forums is kill

What helmet is that?

I can't upload pics for some reason

Pretend you're marveling at an image of Black Iron Tarkus and you have my character-in-progress.

Sorcerer set, retextured black, with the executioner(or whatever Horace's set is called) helmet, drang gloves and pants.

Picture Mike Haggar in your head. Now give him an axe and Demon Fists.

I've never understood why it's not just DS, DS1, DS2, DS3.

So what’s going on with posting images? Trying to post the Drakeblood set but it won’t let me.

You got banned for posting CP you pedo

Two of the posts you linked to answered that question.

Broken since 7AM EST this morning. There was a brief window like a half hour ago where people could post images for some reason.

At least it is no DkS like reddit says

Yeah but if you do DS for Demon Souls and DS1 for Dark Souls (because let's face it every first game in a series will be called Name 1 when there isn't a number) everyone still knows straight away what they all mean. There's no need for the extra letter.

Dark Souls wasn't a series when it came out.
Demon Souls (DS) came first and wasn't very popular or well known, then Dark Souls (DaS), which became popular but couldn't be called DS because that was Demon Souls. And to make sure people knew you meant Demon Souls, DS changed to DeS.

Dark Souls 2: Creighton Mask, Heide Chainmail, Loyce Gauntlets, Alva Leggings.
Dark Souls 3: Fallen Knight Helm, Millwood Chestpiece, Exile Gauntlets, Exile Boots.

I know but why do people keep adding the letter now? There's no need to differentiate them like that anymore, it's silly.

i would post them through Sup Forums, but Sup Forums is being a shit right now so here imgur.com/a/xvbXQ

government shutdown means the servers on this nsa datamining chinese basket weaving and anime forum are gimped until the budget is approaved.

demon's souls is DeS and dark souls is DaS

That's like asking why English words have silent letters. Stuff becomes normal, and then that's how you write it.

The one for 2 is /fa/ is fuck, gonna have to go for that.

While I'm here, what's an interesting build that's really different to claymore+shield and fun? I don't want to play the game the same way as in 1.

right now i'm doing some aldrich / deep warrior cosplay shit with dusk crown, yuria gaunts/legs, and drang chest
using dark murakumo and dark spells/miracles, want to get the dlc for onyx blade

What?

Do we have to have conversations now instead?!

I guess, it just looks odd. Do people play Demon Souls nowadays? I've never really seen it talked about much.

For now. Probably for a while too.

One nice thing about having to hide my powerlevel in public is that my conversation skills aren't completely stunted.

get rid of shield, and focus on rolling (make sure your agility is ~106). it changes the game a whole lot. straight sword/ curved sword is great too. i use the red rust scimitar.

forgot to mention also doing darkblade covenant shit as well trying to get darkmoon blade

Can you kill the werewolf in the clinic on your first playthrough without going to the hunter's dream? I was wailing on him while he had a seemingly empty healthbar and he wouldn't die then he caught me in a combo and killed me.

yes, its just pretty hard to do. youtube.com/watch?v=Cp5tJxuZMm4

Not gonna lie user I was a brainlet through the first game and never properly learned how to roll, it's why I went for the shield, is there a way to be able to git gud with it that isn't just failing miserably until you crack it?

I've seen that shit like rapiers or spears and using dex or whatever is a pretty different style but I just don't know where to start.

Guess I was just a hit or two shy then, because his healthbar looked empty to me.

Shields are a meme trap, the game is actually much easier once you start rolling all over the place. Especially in later games blocking anything from a boss will deplete your entire stamina bar. I don't know if i could give any tips, i usually try to roll into things and try to wait until the last possible second, but then bosses like nameless king that delay half their attacks blow my the fuck out.

it's all about timing. the more you fuck up, the more you learn from your mistakes. its just how it is. BUT i will say that in dark souls 2, your invincibility frames are tied to a stat called "agility", so level up adaptability (ADP) until your agility is around 106. rapiers can be OP as fuck too.

good timing retard

Why isn't Bloodborne BoB?

>Especially in later games blocking anything from a boss will deplete your entire stamina bar
Yeah I countered that in the first one by grinding the fuck out of stamina when I hit difficult bosses, I guess I really am a shitter.
Thanks for the advice both of you, I'll go try getting good then.

the games actually substantially easier if just go lightweight and dodge/roll instead of using a shield (for most encounters). there's a quick learning curve early but its impossible to go back to shields once you get used to it. plus it allows you to 2-hand your weapon so you can kill things super fast.

in DaS2 you need to level ADP though. there's a stat called agility tied to it, you want a solid 95 AGI if you're going to rely on rolling, 100ish is even better. it does require a reasonable investment in ADP but early levels in DaS2 are easy to come by so you can get there quickly (just go finish heide's quickly).

Looks like Solaire helmet, you get his set from the crow, think the helmet is either a lightning bomb or siegbrau.

cathedral knight helm

Because there isn't a "Badborne" yet.

Because if you say DS, nobody knows if you're referring to DeS or DaS.

i found this in my screenshot folder for ds2, but for the life of me i cant remember what i used for it. looks pretty cool though. imgur.com/a/et2lB

That's why everyone should say DS1 for Dark Souls, so DS can be Demon's Souls. Idk user just humour me I'm bored as fuck.

It would be BlB if it was anything.

the only reason that there are and extra letter in DeS and DaS are beacuse those abbreviations would be too similar to differentiate from each other. there is not a game (that is as popular as bloodborne) that has the abbreviation BB.

Too ambiguous and it builds on past precedent. Check your autism.

Pathetic.

alt+1 don't work :(

>regular ugs
nice
lose the gay lil shield n its good

Lapp's helm + Millwood is patrician.

Because people have to stick with archaic acronyms that fell out of time. They're dumb.

I just used fluted set > elite knight set > drake blood set > standard knight set/fallen knight set/drake blood set

I know I'm boring but damn if I don't enjoy playing a knight on a quest in soul games

imgur.com/a/mHbZk

Make Londor a DLC my lord

Demon souls: Flute helmet, flute armor, mirdan gauntlets and leggings
DaS:black leather set with elite knight helmet also silver knight with elite helm
Das2: OP set but with elite knight helmet
Das3:undead legion set with elite knight helmet

Tried to go for something that looked "lord of cinderish" after linking the fire.

Here are a few of my DS2 characters.

kino

You can kill it in one go if you hit it in the back with a charged R2 then do a visceral, which is really easy to pull off.

acshully im pvp but parrying is retarded and you just spam parry whenever they get near you
so make the ugs un parryable by 2 handing it and not using rolling attacks

What's the closest I can get to the Paladin Butters look in DaS1? I never used a faith build or hammer in 1 so this will be my first character in the remaster.

Post DS1 Fashion since we getting a remaster, plus I forget what my characters looked like.

Ornstein's helmet blends in really well with the silver knight set. In certain lights they even look roughly the same color

>parrying is retarded
god bless the 1k's
