Post times vidya went too far

Post times vidya went too far.

Rainbow six patriots being cancelled/replaced with siege

There's literally no need for brutality like that in a video game. The producers are just trying to appeal to kids who want to feel like they're playing a mature game for mature gamers, like themselves.

I hate edgy shit like this.
>"hurr look at how evil humanity can be woah"

or maybe they don't try to glorify violence like other video games do

what game

wtf is this "glorify" violence meme

soyboy meme critique

How the fuck did that person survive being hanged? Like she had to have been hanging for like a minute at least. Would that not crush your wind pipe? Why did the bitch with the gun not immediately shoot hammer chic? Why do the good guys always win because the bad guys are stupid ass fuck?

that's just a fact violence in video game is often depicted as clean ,quick and painless
like in movies
and that sucks because it neuter the violence act making it bland and casual so it's shit

It's just a torture porn moron that doesn't get that hanging kills by neck snapping and not asphyxiation

she's the main character in the trailer

how am I supposed to know if I dont know what game it is

Having action where it's like, one shot and the guy's just instantly dead (despite being shot in the stomach or leg.). Whereas some people argue a more realistic one would be the person being shot in the stomach and screaming out in pain while they bleed out, kinda like a Tarantino film but not overdone.

the one that had a girl in the first game but is now some ugly tranny for some reason

holy fucking this

>diversity quest: the movie
>"vidya"

Yeah but what game is it

The Last of Us 2

kek

That's not Ellie tard, she's in the other trailer

About 11 lb of pressure is required to compress the carotid artery; 4.4 lb for the jugular veins;[16] and at least 15 kg for the airway.[18] The amount of time it takes to lose consciousness and die is difficult to predict accurately and depends on several factors. Some believe unconsciousness occurs in five seconds, though Alan Gunn writes that it generally takes longer. It took a man who filmed his hanging 13 seconds to become unconscious, 1 minute and 38 seconds to lose muscle tone, and 4 minutes and 10 seconds for muscle movement to cease.

>swapping units half-way from lbs to kg.
spotted the burger

>I don't want media to challenge me

Damn, guess Rwanda, Khmer Rouge, Great Leap Forward, and pogroms were some edgy shit for you.

gibe burger

This shit has been done a million times over in media now. It's tired, it's a bummer, and it's usually pessimistic as fuck. I'm over needless cruelty and edgeshit like this all for the sake of "woah people bad." If you like shit like this, you are likely as much a pessimist as the people who make it or you're thirteen.

It's a video game, shithead. There's no way to properly translate the exact feeling ones goes through when killing something into the virtual experience. When they try like in the OP, they end up being overly gratuitous in an effect to magnify the very little feelings they can transcribe to the viewer. I don't think they went too far, but when they try to go realistic I can't help but ask some questions. Like why is no one watching perimeter in the middle of the night? Who gets that close to the people they hang?

what movie is this one I haven't seen it.

I don't mind games that try to be more serious with their action, there was one series (I think Rising storm?) that had a kinda interesting thing where when you died in game, your model would writhe around in dying throes and shout a few lines before going limp.

Humanity is fucked and still is. We still have genocides ongoing, rising crime rates in some areas, and brutal governments. Plus, considering this looks like some post apoc shit, it feels a bit fitting to the game.
