It was pretty funny in the moment, maybe because Ultimate Gohan was a strange choice for the soyboy to have made, he didn't choose Super Vegeta or Ultra Trunks or Broly or Kaioken Goku, but Ultimate Gohan. Gohan was just as handicapped in the laser cage as Dyspo was in terms of movement restrictions and space, hence why he got hit and was sent flying into one of Freeza's Ki laser bars. Either way, point was Freezafags are in position to shit talk Gohan considering the kiddo saved Freeza from an early elimination relatively 'early' into the finale of the tourney. No, Dyspo was much faster, but if he went full speed he would always be at risk of hitting the cage. The cage forced Dyspo to slow down for Gohan to take him on. That isn't to say Gohan didn't kick some ass, but he wasn't on Dyspos level.

I like this arc though, some fights remind me of the Goku and Piccolo versus Raditz. It is great to see the characters using some cunning and teamwork to take down a much tougher foe.

Frieza and Gohan had surprisingly good chemistry. Would b cool to see more of that, too bad. My biggest problem is the inconsistencies with Dyspo's power. He was losing badly to Hit and never went super speed. This episode retroactively made Hit look very good.

Nah, he was getting his ass kicked by Hit once Hit figured out how Dyspo was predicting his movements.

Or it made him look worse if you take it as Dyspo didn't see him as enough of a threat to speed up.

I wish they showed more team chemistry between U11, since they're the antagonists after all. Maybe some banter about how Dyspo never takes things seriously. It was weird having to reevaluate him on the power totem from his earlier episodes.

Probably because Gohan has a bit of sadistic side to him as he displayed while fighting Cell. Probably as a result of of the suffering he went through since his forced training with Piccolo (in which he developed a love for him via stockholm syndrome)
